    temple

  3. The temple is located east of Trufitus' house. Head east until you see a river. Now head south until you see a log. Walk across it and go south. You will see a Mound of Earth. Warning:There are many level 60 undeads in this cave! Search it and use the Spade on it, after that use your candle on it. Finally use Rope. Then search again to drop down.

After you have found the rocks, climb them and cross the river. If you fail, try again. Note that if you fail to climb the rocks or fall off the bridge you can take a decent amount of damage and that it can take many, many attempts depending upon your Agility level. Note that later Zombies will blow up and spew poison if you actually stop to kill them, it only hurts you if you stand directly next to it, take Anti-poison just to be sure.

  12. After you crossed the bridge, head a bit north and search the rock. You will drop down.

  13. Head south and you will see a dolmen. Search it and you will get a Sword pommel, a Locating crystal and Bervirius notes. Go to the east room of this tomb and climb the rocks to go back out.

  14. Return to Trufitus and give him all the items. He will tell you that you will need a bronze necklace.

  15. Go a bit northwest of the house. You will find an anvil. You will need a Chisel, a Hammer and a Bronze bar. If you don't have these items, go the General Store located northwest of the anvil and buy them.

  16. Use the Bronze bar on the anvil and make a Bronze wire. Use Chisel on the Sword pommel. Finally use the beads on the Bronze wire. You will get a amulet called "Beads of the Dead". Show this to Trufitus.

  17. Before you do step 18, get your armor, some food, recharge your prayer points and probably grab some potions.

  18. Go east of the house. Find the log that you have crossed before. Cross it and go north a bit. Find a Palm tree that you can search. After you have found it, search the Palm tree and a door will appear. The door is locked, so try using your Bone shard on it. It won't quite fit. Now you can Use your Chisel on the Bone shard to craft it into a Bone key. Wear your Beads of the Dead amulet and use the Bone key on the doors to get in.

  19. Go south and open the gate. Climb the rocks and go west. You will find a door. Use 3 Bones on the door and the door will open.

  20. Make sure you wear all your armour, your weapon and Beads of the dead and have full health. Search the dolmen and 91 level zombie will attack you. Defeat it and a 68 level skeleton will attack you. Kill it and a 93 level ghost will appear. Defeat it. WARNING: DO NOT RETREAT OR YOU WILL HAVE TO START AGAIN. Entrance

  6. After you enter the cave, you will need the Robes of elidinis and the Ancestral key to open the first double door. After that you will have to open three doors to the east that will each make a different golem attack you. You need different attack styles for each golem. First open the south door. Kill the White golem using a stab attack. Now enter the door and clear the blocked water source using your theiving skill.

  7. Now try to open the southeastern door, and kill the Grey golem using a slash attack. Clear the blockage using a pickaxe, then continue to the next door.

    Golems

  8. Try to open the final door to the northeast and kill the Black golem using a crush attack. Once it is defeated, enter the door and shoot an arrow at the target to clear the last blockage.

    Attack

  9. When you open all the three doors and unblock the water sources, the second pair of double doors will get unlocked. Pass through the door and you will find water spirits to the east.

    Water Spirits

  10. Talk to the water spirits. They will tell you that the townspeople of Nardah threw away the statue of Elidinis. As a result of this, their town was cursed. They have to restore the statue to the temple to remove the curse.

  11. Go back to Nardah and talk to the mayor. He will tell you that the statue was thrown down a crevice to the west of Nardah.

  12. Take a rope and a light source and go a little west. You will find a crevice. Go down it.

  13. Once down there you will find a genie to the north. Talk to him and he will ask you to exchange the sole of Awusah (the mayor) for the statue.

    Genie

  14. Go back to the mayor's house. Pick up the shoes lying on the floor. Move away from the mayor and use a knife on them. You will get the sole of the shoe.

  15. Go back to the genie and give him the sole. He will give you the statue.

  16. Take the statue back to the shrine and place it on the stand in the temple.

Now Timfraku, the Chief of Tai Bwo Wannai, wishes to see his people and family return to the abandoned village. Help a depressed fisherman, encourage a raging hunter and satiate an eccentric priest in this extreme test of aptitude and patience!

Difficulty: Intermediate

Length: Long

Requirements: Must have completed Jungle Potion Quest.
Level 30 Cooking, Level 15 Agility and Level 5 Fishing.
High level Agility and Herblore is a distinct advantage.
Must be able to defeat level 48 Jogres.

Items Needed: 2 Agility potions, a Pestle and mortar, a spear above iron, Karamja rum (purchase at any bar on Karamja), a Banana, a Knife or other sharp blade, 1 Seaweed, a Small fishing net, some Jogre bones, and maybe something to mage/range with.

Quest Points Reward: 2

Reward: 2k Coins, 5k Fishing and Cooking exp, 2.5k Attack and Strength exp; when you talk to the three sons in their huts after the quest is finished, they will each give you the experience rewards plus some items. One son gives you a Rune spear(kp) (and the combat exp), another teachs you how to correctly cook marinated jogre bones (and cooking exp), and the other teches you how to cook/fish Karambwan (cooking/fishing exp).

Start Point: Tai Bwo Wannai Village.

To Start: Speak to Timfraku

Instructions:

person

1. Speak to Timfraku, even though he will be rather rude to you, try a few different options. He will tell you to leave. Speak with him again and tell him Trufitus sent you, and that he has communed with the gods. Timfraku will be amazed, and tells you to notify his three sons about it. Next click yes and start the quest.

Incidental information not needed for quest: Timfraku's three sons are named: Tamayu, Tiadeche, and Tinsay.

Tamayu is the hunter and at age 3 he killed his first monkey.

Tiadeche is the fisherman but is not too lucky since he needs to improve his technique.

Tinsay is the priest who has acted very strangely since he had an accident with jogres.

2. Go and talk to Lubufu who is at the narrow causeway close to Brimhaven. Question him about his age and then offer to collect some bait for him. Go and catch 20 Karambwaji fish that are south of the village and return to him so he will tell you about the Karambwan.

3. Speak with him again and agree to be his apprentice. He will now give you a Karambwan vessel. This is used to catch the Karambwan.

4. Go catch one Karambwan by using a Karambwanji fish with the vessel and cook it on the nearby range. (NOTE: If you are under 65 fishing and 60 cooking you can have a friend cook one for you, do NOT buy from Shrimp and Parrot Pub as those are not poisonous!). Next, take the cooked Karambwan and use it with the Pestle and mortar. Finally use the cooked Karambwan paste with the spear. Your spear will now say (KP) at the end. Keep this for later to give to Tamayu.

Tamayu

5. Tamayu is southeast of the village by the mines. He refuses to come back to the village until he has killed the Shaikahan.

6. Watch as he tries to kill the Shaikahan, but he needs both a better spear and to be more agile to do it. Give him an Agility potion and the (KP) spear then one more agility potion so he can kill it. After he has killed it he will agree to come back to the village.

Tinsay

7. Now go to Tinsay who is on Cairn Isle.

8. Bring a bottle of Karamja rum and a Banana. Speak to him and he says he wants some rum with bananas in it. Use a Knife with the Banana to slice it and then use the slices with the rum. Give the banana-rum to him.

9. Next he will want a seaweed and monkey skin sandwich. Go kill a monkey using range or mage and take the monkey skin to Tamayu. He will agree to skin the monkey for you. Tamayu then hands you the monkey skin and some monkey bones.

10. Now use the skin with a Seaweed to get the seaweed sandwich. Give this rather disgusting thing to Tinsay.

11. Still not satisfied, he will then tell you that he wants some burnt jogre bones marinated in karambwaji.

12. Go kill a jogre and then use the bones with a furnace. Next use the karambwaji with a pestle and mortar and then use that on the burnt jogre bones. CAUTION: Make sure you use this on a range because it will explode if used on a normal fire. You will get the marinated jogre bones.

13. Head back to Tinsay and he will agree to go to the village.

Tiadeche

14. Tiadeche is by the northeast edge of the southern part of the Karamjan continent, across the log bridge and then all the way north (beware the Jogres and the Shaikahan in this area).

15. Speak to him and ask what you can do to help. He will tell you something useful.

16. Use a Karambwanji with the Karambwan vessel, then use it with Tiadeche. He will then catch a Karambwan and give it you. He will then ask you to make a new vessel and give it to Tinsay. He also wants you to get the crafting instructions for himself.

17. Head back and talk to Lubufu. Tell him that your Karambwan vessel was stolen by a Karambwan. He then give you a new one.

18. Bring the new vessel back to Tinsay. He will give you the crafting manual Tiadeche needs.

19. Bring it to Tiadeche. He will finally agree to come back to the village.

20. Head back to Tai Bwo Wannai and speak to Timfraku.

Quest completed.

Visit the three sons in their huts (in the circle south of the main village) to get the rest of your rewards. Tiadeche also becomes a store where you can buy and sell Karambwan vessels and raw Karambwan. Tamayu sells all (kp) spears and cleaning cloths. Note that you cannot sell spears at all when they are kp poisoned (not even to this stall) - you must wipe the poison off using a Cleaning cloth (Silk with Karamja rum applied).

Temple Of Ikov

Description: A mysterious stranger called Lucien asks you to go on a mission deep under the Temple of Ikov in central Kandarin. He wants you to retrieve an artifact known as the Staff of Armadyl. Towards the end of the quest you are presented with a choice on how to complete the quest.

Difficulty: Experienced

Length: Long

Requirements: Level 42 thieving and Level 40 ranged.

Items Needed: Yew or Magic bow, a Candle (can be bought in Catherby), a Tinderbox, 20 Limpwurt roots, a Knife.
Recommered: Dragon leather ranger armor, prayer restore potions (if you have 37+ prayer and less than 50 ranged), Melee resistant armor (to withstand 15 minutes of attacks from level 61 Ice spiders), a trustworthy friend to do the quest with.

Quest Points Reward: 1

Reward: 10500 Range XP, 8000 Fletching XP, and admittance to the restricted areas of the Temple of Ikov (by wearing the Pendant of Lucien).

Start Point: Flying Horse Inn, Ardougne.

To Start: Speak to Lucien.

Instructions:

1. Talk to Lucien, he will be in the Flying Horse Bar, north west of the Paladin's Tower, on the west side of the river. Lucien will tell you about how he needs the Staff of Armadyl. He gives you a pendant and asks you to get it for him.

2. Put on the pendant and get ready to go to the dungeon. Get a Candle from the Catherby Candle shop, and light it with a Tinderbox. The things you should bring on this (1st) trip:

- Pendant of Lucien (never take this off)
- Lit candle
- Knife
(note: if you have a trustworthy friend doing the quest with you, bring the stuff for the 2nd trip as well, and have them hold onto it briefly while doing this part. This will save you the time of banking.)

3. Wearing the pendant, go into the Temple of Ikov (located directly southeast of the Ranging Guild).

pic

Go down the ladder and head west through the temple and then down the stairs. Go to the back of this room and cut though the spider web and pick up the Boots of Lightness*. Put them on, drop your knife and return up the stairs.

pic

4. Go north into the room with the skeletons in it, and head to the west side of this room (you will see a broken bridge). Before going over the bridge, MAKE SURE YOUR WEIGHT IS BELOW ZERO!!! If it's above zero you will fall in the lava, causing you 20 HP of damage. Climb up the ladder and walk back to the temple.

(note: if you are above 0 KG weight, and you do fall into the lava, you can still grab the Lever piece because you will land on the opposite side of the lava bank. Climb up the ladder and you will be in Hemenster. You will have to walk back to the temple again if this happens.)

pic

5. The things you should bring on this (2nd) trip:

- Pendant of Lucien (never take this off)
- melee-resistant armor
- Lots of food
- Lever piece
(weapon is optional, only if you feel like killing the Ice spiders. I just ignored them for this part and took the damage. If you are high combat level, then bring the items needed for the 3rd trip as well. You will need to withstand attacks from level 61 Ice spiders for about 15 minutes of running around in the cavern. I was level 74 with full rune armor and I ate 8 bass during this part.)

In the first area of the temple when you first climb down the ladder, there is a lever bracket on the wall. Use your lever piece on this, then pull the lever. That will unlock the south gate.

pic

6. Follow the path until you reach some chests, check every chest, eventually one will have some Ice arrows in them. Keep checking the different chests until you have around 50. Remember the arrows are always in random chests, check every one of them, even the chest you just found the arrows in. The chests are in narrow offshoots of the main cavern. It is a long walk to get to the chests from the gate, so don't feel like you are lost. And don't expect the chests to be sitting out in the open, look on the minimap for the narrow offshoots from the main cavern.

pic

7. Leave the snowy area and go back to the bank. The things you should bring on this (3rd) trip:

- Pendant of Lucien (never take this off)
- Magic resistant armor
- Yew or Magic bow
- Lots of food
- Prayer Restore Potions (if you can use Protect from Magic, and if you have 50 or higher Ranged, then full prayer will be sufficient to kill him and you will not need to recharge until you are finished)

For your armor, I would suggest Dragon Hide, because it gives 30+ magic defense, while rune armor gives around -10. Also, dragon hide armor gives you a ranged attack bonus which is very helpful in killing the Fire Warrior. If you have rune armor, it is better to fight him naked. Rune armor gives you a ranged attack penalty and a mage defense penalty. This guy mages you, he will not attack any other way, and you cannot hide behind a rock while you fight him. Equip everything, go down the ladder, north through the skeleton room, then straight north to a lever with a trap door. DO NOT IMMEDIATELY PULL THE LEVER! Search for traps on the lever and disarm it, then you may pull the lever. If you pull the lever without disarming the traps, then the trap door will open and you will fall on spikes taking up to 20 hp in damage. Then take the west branch until you get to a door. Open the door and go across the room to the next door. Try to open that door and Lesarkus the Fire Warrior will appear and say you may not pass. Then he will start maging you. You may range him with the ice arrows only. (I suggest your bow on Rapid setting, accurate if you have below 50 ranged). If you have magic block put this on so he can't hurt you, and drink your prayer potions whenever your prayer is low. Once you kill him go back to the bank.

NOTE: If you do not kill him fast enough, he will stop the battle and tell you to come back when you have a better weapon. You can try again by simply trying to open the door again. Perhaps train your ranged skill some more or purchase a ranging pot. If you know a high level herbalist they will probably trade one for Dwarf Weed. This happened to my friend, and for her 2nd attempt, she merely un-equipped her rune armor and then killed him pretty easily.

pic

8. The things you should bring on this (4th) trip:

- Pendant of Lucien (never take this off)
- Melee-resistant armor
- Weapon
- Some food
- 20 Limpwurt roots

Go down the ladder, and back to where you killed Lesarkus the Fire Warrior. Go through the door he wouldn't let you through (you do not have to kill him again). You will see a witch named Winelda, talk to her. She will offer to teleport you across the lava for your Limpwurt roots.

pic

Agree. Once over the lava, follow this path all the way to the end, past the room and the ladder, and you will see a shiny key on the ground.

pic

Pick it up, and return to the room with the guardians in it. The Staff is in the northwest corner, but first, you have to make a decision.

pic

Side with the Guardians

  1. Take off your pendant of Lucien. Talk to one of the Guardians of Armadyl. You will tell them that you are working for a man named Lucien. They will be quite disappointed to hear that. They will give you a pendant and tell you to kill him. Leave the room and climb up the ladder.

  2. You will find yourself in a room in McGrubor's Wood. Use your shiny key on the door and you should go through. Go to Varrock, and exit via the northeast exit, follow the wall surrounding the castle, west then south, and you will see a house with Lucien in it.

    mcgrubor's wood pic

  3. Wearing your pendant attack him (he's only level 14). You will be rewarded once you kill him.

Side with Lucien
  1. There is a small room that contains the staff inside of the big room, when you try to take the staff, any of the guardians in the small room will attack you (level 36-40) pick it up once everyone in the small room is dead. Leave the big room and go up the ladder near you.

  2. You will find yourself in a room in McGrubor's Wood. Use your shiny key on the door and you should go through. Go to Varrock, and exit via the northeast exit, follow the wall surrounding the castle, west then south, and you will see a house with Lucien in it.

  3. Talk to him and give him the staff, you will be rewarded.

    reward
*The Boots of Lightness actually have -4 kg weight, so they are good for running because you regain energy much faster. It isn't a bad idea to grab a few of these before your 1st trip back to the bank.

Talk to the king and he will tell you to get the support of the citizens, do this by mining, cutting maples, weeding or fishing, you get various exp for each task you do, the harder the task the more exp it gives, eg Coal gives 0.8% coal per rock were weeding the herbs is quicker and easier but only gives 0.1% per weed weeded.

Kingdom Management

After you've finished the quest the kingdom is yours, in it you can do various tasks to gain resources etc
Go to the advisor and speak to him about his book, he will give you one for free, it explains how to run the kingdom properly

You must keep your popularity up otherwise the workers will not work for you very much at all, you must also pay them for their services otherwise they wont collect resources for you, to do this take an amount of gp (up to 5 million) and talk to the advisor, talk to him about changing management and in the screen with the map on deposit the amount you wish to pay them, one tenth of this is used a day, but the more you pay the more they will collect

You must also keep up your popularity, to do this do the same as in the quest by helping the workers with their chores, the higher your popularity the more they will work

Changing the amount of people on each task will also change how much of resource you get, such as all on herbs will get you a lot of herbs etc
Don't keep going back every hour for resources as probably not much will have been collected, go once a day and get bigger but less frequent amounts

I think that sums up kingdom management in a nutshell

The Tourist Trap

Description: South of Al Kharid a new desert pass has opened up, leading to the dangers of the Kharid desert.

Don your desert garb and make sure your waterskin is full before heading off into the trackless dunes in search of desert adventure.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Length: Long

Requirements: Level 10 Fletching and Level 20 Smithing.
Must be able to defeat a lvl 52 Captain.

Items Needed: Desert Gear [Boots, Robe, and Shirt], Shantay Pass, Knife, Full or Empty Waterskin(s), Hammer, 2-3 Bronze Bars, 10-30 Feathers [all of the previous items can be purchased at Shantay Pass], at least 105gp, Food, Amulet, and Weapon. (NOTE: The only armor that won't burn you in the desert is helmet, cape, and shield. But you MUST un-equip the helmet and shield around guards).

Quest Points Reward: 2

Reward: Ana will give you a Wrought Iron Key useful for getting to a Mith and Addy mine in the Mining Camp; Irena will give you the choice of free exp in 2 skills - Agility, Thieving, Smithing, or Fletching (the higher your level the better the exp; also, you can choose the same skill twice!); Ability to make darts.

Start Point: The Shantay Pass south of Al Kharid.

To Start: Shantay or one of his assistants and anyone else you find there.

Instructions:

1 ) Start by talking to Irena. She is found through the Shantay Pass. (Pay Shantay 5gp to buy a pass first. Then go through and speak with Irena. NOTE: Shantay sells other items you will need for this quest!)

2 ) After Irena tells you about her daughter Ana, she leaves you to find her yourself. Go South a ways and examine the footsteps. They hint at you to go south (westward just a pinch, too) to the Mining Camp. (MAKE SURE you find the Kharidian Cactus and cut them to keep water in your Waterskin[s].)

3 ) Talk to the Mercenaries around there until you get them to admit that they don't like the Captain. This will cost you 5gp per bribe. Find out that the Captain doesn't like to fight his own battles. (IF you get busted they will take you to the desert and take all but ONE Waterskin.)

4 ) Now talk to the Captain, get him roused until he tells you he will call his Guards. Pick the option about asking him to fight his own fights. Then he challenges you. Once he's dead a Metal Key will be added to your inventory. Use this to go inside with NO Armour or Weapons On! (ONCE you've killed the Captain you can come here to kill him again and get the key without all the dialogue.)

5 ) Talk to the Male Slave who's trying to escape. After some conversation trade clothes with him. You will have to speak to him a second time to do so. (IF you get caught inside the camp the Guards and Mercenaries may throw you in jail. A Cell Key can be found upstairs in Captain Siad's desk. If you didn't grab a Cell key first, you can escape by squeezing out through the southwest window. Then you must climb up the hillside to the west to escape the camp. Note that you Will take damage from failing these agility obstacles!)

6 ) Now with your slave outfit on go downstairs through the huge door and follow the path to the TWO Mercenaries. (You will pass some Rowdy slaves who will attack you - just use Run.) Talk to one and ask him to let you trade spots. He will hint at you getting a Pineapple for him first. (MAKE SURE you don't have armor or weapons on around the Mercenaries.)

7 ) Leave the camp completely. Go due west until you find the Bedabin Camp. Talk to Al Shabim until you can ask him for a Pineapple. He will reveal the plan to get Blueprints from Captain Siad. Agree and he will give you a copy of the Chest Key. Now head back to the Mining Camp. (NOTE you can get more supplies from the nomads.)

8 ) Inside the Mining Camp go upstairs in the building to Captain Siad's room. Get the Cell Key by searching his desk. Search the Bookcases till you find that he has books about sailing. Now talk to him.

9 ) Start with "Hello". Try to continue talking to him and then start on sailing. After a while choose the comment on his "Jib" or say all the slaves have broken free or shout "fire! fire!".. . He will then be distracted enough to unlock the Chest and get the Blueprints.

10 ) Bring these back to Al Shabim and he will ask you to make the weapon from them. Go north a bit and talk to the Bebadin Guard there. He will let you into the secret room to use the Experimental Anvil. Make the weapon; it is a dart tip. To get into the tent, u need to use the blueprints with the guard to get permission. You may fail once or twice. Once the tip is made use Feathers with it until you can get a complete Experimental Dart. (NOTE you may need to leave through the Shantay Pass and get more supplies, which can be purchased from Shantay.)

11 ) Take this to Al Shabim and he will give you the Pineapple and Six Darts. You now also have the ability to make DARTS! Go back to the Mining Camp.

12 ) Go through the gates with NO Armor or Weapons equipped. Then down to the mines. Give the Pineapple to the Mercenary and go through the Mine Cave.

13 ) Close to the mine cart is a bunch of Barrels. Search an empty one and take it. Now get in the mine cart. This may take a few tries depending on your agility level. (MAKE SURE you have food because you will get hurt.)

14 ) Once the cart arrives on the other side go northwest a bit till you find a large area with many Slaves. Ana will be there. If she asks how you got in tell her the line about it being secretive. (DO NOT SAY YOU HAVE A KEY! If you do you will be rounded up. To get out you will have to mine 15 rocks and give to the Mercenary.)

15 ) After talking to Ana use the Barrel with her to "kidnap" her. Place her in the cart then get in it yourself.

16 ) On the other side search the Barrels till you find Ana. Go to the Winch Bucket and use it. The Guard there will ask to help you. Agree. Ana will start complaining but you have to cover for her. Pick the statements that will compliment the Guard. (DO NOT attempt to walk through the Mine Cave, you will be caught and punished SEVERELY.)

17 ) Leave the mines and go over to the Winch above ground. Use it and then search the Barrels for Ana. Use her on the Mine Cart and place her in it. (DO NOT try to walk through the Gates, you will be caught and SEVERELY punished.)

18 ) Now say "Nice Cart" to the Mine Cart Driver and select all the lines that are nice or "funny". Some of them will be stupid. Make him laugh and he will agree to help you escape. You will have to bribe him. Pay him 100gp and he will do it. Get in the cart and he will go.

19 ) Once outside go north to Irena and talk to her. QUEST COMPLETE!

Difficulty: Intermediate

Length: Long

Requirements: Must defeat a Level 112 warlord.

Items Needed: 6 normal Logs.

Quest Points Reward: 2

Reward: A Gnome amulet of protection, about 11500 attack xp, and the ability to use the Spirit trees to travel.

Start Point: Centre of maze.

To Start: Speak to Bolren

Instructions:

  1. Find Elkoy near the northwest corner of the maze. He invites you to try the maze. Once you conquer it, talk to King Bolren. He'll ask you to help their cause by retrieving 1 of 3 orbs of protection. Agree and you'll be led to battlefield.

  2. Talk to Commander Montai to get the latest update on the battle. He'll ask for 6 loads of wood to repair defenses. Assuming you have your 6 logs with you, talk to him again. He thanks you, talk to him yet again, he'll ask you to find out coordinates from his trackers to fire the ballista at the Khazard stronghold.

  3. Head north to find the first tracker. He's in an oblong building in the north east part of the Khazard camp. Learn the y-coordinate is 5.

  4. Head west above the long building, the 2nd gnome should be just along the wall of the building. Find that the height coordinate is 4.

  5. Head south on the outskirts of the camp to find the 3rd tracker. He's a little "off" and gives you a strange riddle to decipher the x-coordinate. Luckily, I'm a master riddler and found out:

" more than my head", "less than my fingers", "dance with me", "and khazards men are beat" is the correct riddle Well anyway he means 3. Return to the gnome camp.

  6. Go directly to the ballista and use the coordinates you have learned.
    Height=4 X=3 Y=5
Assuming you entered these in right, go the main building and climb over the wall. It's the northwest building. Be prepared to get rid of two level 48 Khazard commanders, one downstairs and one upstairs.

  7. Upon their defeat, open the chest on the 2nd floor to get the orb. Return to Elkoy at the maze entrance and he'll lead you back in.

  8. Speak to Bolren again, he is briefly thankful about your return, but now you learn that his family has been killed and the other 2 orbs taken by Khazard's troops. Elkoy will guide you out of the maze again. Go north past the Khazard camp, then northwest and past level 64 Wolves to face the Khazard warlord who holds the orbs.

  9. Run past his guards and attack him. You should have food, which you should run and eat if your health gets low. Ranging and maging works well on him, since he cannot come out of a certain zone. Weaken him until you run out or he's fairly weak, then charge him and kill him.

  10. Once he is dead (Congratulations) you'll get the orbs. Return once again to Elkoy, then to Bolren. He'll tell you about the Spirit trees and give you your reward.

Take the northwest passageway, go a little bit north then turn immediately west into room with Quest asterisk showing on minimap.] He'll tell you that he wants to earn Aga's love. The only problem is that Aga is in love with Arrg, the really powerful troll.
  2. Go to the other end of the romm and through the door to speak to Aga. She'll tell you the she wants a Trollweiss plant, a very rare item.
  3. Go back to Ug, and he'll tell you you need to speak to someone very experianced with the mountains, who'll tell you how to get Trollweiss.

  6. Return to him with the materials. He'll give you a Sled. Then use the Bucket of wax with the Swamp tar, and you'll make Wax. (This is where the Cake tin comes in ... it is used to hold the Wax. If you are holding 2 Cake tins, the software thinks you have none and will not allow you to make Wax until you drop one.) Use the Wax with the Sled to make a waxed Sled.
  7. Go back to Trollheim, except this time take the north-west path west of the Maze (just west of the Thrower Trolls atop Trollheim) rather than entering the Troll Stronghold.

Map showing turnoff to ice caves

You'll eventually see an impressive looking icey gate, but ignore it; continue north and then west. Enter the cave opening to the northwest. 8. Look south for a slope that you can't enter by foot, then equip your sled. Click on the slope to slide down. You'll arrive in a really icey land.
  9. Go directly southwest to the flower bed (it's up a little round hill showing a circle in the middle). Pick one bouquet of "Very rare" flowers to get Trollweiss.
  10. Go back to Ug: you can either teleport to Trollheim and walk back to Ug, or slide down the next hill south (fun!) and take a Long Hike around the Stronghold to get back (this is a fun at first, but then a long walk. You eventually get dumped out by Rellekka's mines, and have to walk southeast to find the climbing path to the east to get back up to the Death Plateau). Ug will accept the flowers, but he still can't go to Aga, because Arrg is in the way. He wants you to kill Arrg.
  11. Prepare to fight Arrg. He melees and ranges you. His range can hit for 29. Get your melee/range weapon and put on your armour. Load up on food and/or Prayer potions. TURN ON Protect From Melee BEFORE you actually speak to Arrg!! (level 70 plus members warn you!!)
  12. Speak to Arrg, and tell him you want to kill him. (Protect from Melee, or Missles optional) You'll be teleported to the arena. Kill Arrg, then go back to Ug.

He smashes you and you'll go flying into a wall nearby, he hits you from 7-11 and from flying into the wall he hits you 15-25. The Underground Pass

Description: The Underground Pass, sealed for thousands of years, has now been reopened to reveal a complex labyrinth of tunnels and chasms. You must find a way through, and get one step closer to the evil King Tyras. But the road is long and it could be lonely. When fatigue starts to take it's toll, mental strength is what you'll need...

The Underground Pass is the third part of our ongoing Members' Quest.

Difficulty: Experienced

Length: Long

Requirements: Level 25 Ranged.
Must beat three level 91 demons.
Must have completed Biohazard Quest.
Good Thieving and Agility is an advantage.

Items Needed: Bow, arrows, Spade, Rope (maybe 2 if you want to save a tiny bit of time), armour and weapon, food (Note: you might want to take a bow and arrows that you do not mind dropping. After certain points you will not need them again, and inventory space can get pretty low).

Quest Points Reward: 5

Reward: Agility exp (amount depends on your level), Attack exp (amount usually equal to amount of agility exp given), Staff of Iban, 15 Death runes, 30 Fire runes, and the right to use Iban Blast.

Start Point: East Ardougne.

To Start: Speak to King Lathas

Instructions:

  1. To start, talk to King Lathas who is on the second floor of the Paladin Castle in Ardougne. He describes the quest and directs you to his scout in West Ardougne.

  2. Head to West Ardougne, walk through the gates and go as far west as you can go and you should find Koftik; talk to him and then enter the cave near him.

    Underground Pass Main Area Map

  3. Now, here there are 2 choices. If you brought 2 ropes, you can use one rope on one of the stalactites, or you can use Agility to climb over the rocks. I recommend climbing the rockslides.

  4. On the other side of swamp you meet Koftik again, talk to him and you get a damp cloth. Use it on the arrows you brought to get a fire arrow. Talk to him again to get another damp cloth and wrap it around the other arrows. Repeat until you have about 10 fire arrows. Use these arrows on the fire nearby to set them alight.

    Fire Arrows

  5. Now, go around the cliff to the east and then go north. You should be behind a fence, try shooting at the guide ropes that hold the bridge up. When you hit it you are automatically taken across it. Positioning is critical when shooting at ropes: you should be at fence in center of the length of the fence.

  6. Now head north and pick up the plank that is guarded by blessed spiders then head south and follow the path which curves around to the east.

  7. At a split in the path, the south side is a swamp and the north side is a gap. Use your rope on the pole shaped rock above the gap to get across. [If you fail this obstacle, you will lose your rope and find yourself thrown into the "washout" dungeon. The sole path out of the "washout" dungeon forces you to cross numerous rockslides, and then dumps you at the entrance to the underground path. At the very least, you will need another rope, since you lost yours on this obstacle.] Follow the path east and then south, climbing over a rockslide in a small alley. In the next area, climb west over another rockslide.

  8. Now you should find Koftik, talk to him and you will find that he is slowly being possessed.

  9. Here is the grid area. The safe path to cross the grid is different for each player, so experimentation is required to find the successful path which can be used for all future crossings. What worked for someone else may not work for you. The illustration here is just an example and will not work for everyone!! Write down your successful path as it will stay the same for you every time you come here. Every time you hit a bad square, you will fall through to the rocks below and take damage. If you fall, climb back up on the protruding rocks or you will continue to receive hits.
The trial-and-error method to find a way across is...
    >Find the block you can stand on in the first row.
    >Then try path 2 (straight across).
    >If that doesn't work, position yourself in the closest corner of your working square exactly diagonal to the square you want to go to (each grid square is composed of four Runescape walking squares. If you don't get into the corner first, when you click on a diagonal square the game will walk you through a square that you already know doesn't work, and you'll be on the rocks again!) Then click on the diagonal square you wish to try (path 1 or 3).
Once you find one of those that work (path 3 in the illustrated example), try again path 2 (straight), 1, or 3.
Continue this process until you find a safe path across.

    Underground Pass Grid Area

  10. Once across, pull the lever next to the portcullis. It will open and automatically take you through. There are zombies and a furnace in this area. To the north-northwest is a one-way shortcut pipe that takes you back to before the rope-swing gap; you cannot use it to get back here. The west alley contains five spike traps; either run through if you are not very good at thieving, or try to search the odd markings and disarm the traps.

    Underground Pass Portcullis

  11. After the traps, there is a room with a well in the middle, as well as an old journal spawn and an altar. If you turn on prayers such as 2x hp restore and others, and keep recharging your prayer here, you can return to full health while conserving your food for later efforts. The first part is quite easy, go up the north road and notice there are flat rocks on the floor. Use the plank on the flat rocks to cross until you get to the orb of light, pick it up then return to the well.

    Underground Pass Well

  12. Run across the northwest path trying not to get hit by the enemies, pick up the orb of light and return to the well.

  13. The west path is the same as the north path, just use your plank on the flat rocks, pick up the orb of light and return to the well.

  14. This is the easiest path, the southwest path. Search the flat stone under the orb, when you try to pick up the orb of light it will ask you if you want to disarm it. If you fail you will be damaged by a swinging log. When you have the orb return back to the well.

  15. Now either run back across the path with the strange markings or search the odd markings and disarm the traps to return to the room with the zombies. Use all the orbs with the furnace and then go back to the room with the well by either disarming the traps or running.

    Underground Pass Furnace

  16. Climb down the well and search the crates nearby, one will contain some food. Now run across the path to get to some cages, pick lock the cage to the southeast. Use the spade on the mud to get through a tunnel.

    Underground Pass Cages

  17. Head west and then cross the ledge south to get to another hard part. If you are a level 50+ thief then pick lock the gate and run east through the swamp past the rats to the other gate. Or, if you are a bad thief, then you need to cross the stone bridges to get to the other end. Falling off the stone bridges causes damage, and then you must follow a clear path back to the beginning of the stone bridges to try again. However, if you take the gate path and get stuck in the swamp and pulled under, you are thrown into the "washout" dungeon mentioned in Step 7. That's right, you are suddenly starting over, outside the Underground Pass! This might be a good time to bank to replace all the food you spent on the grid, since you'll know the correct path to follow this time.

    Underground Pass Stone Bridges

  18. Follow the path south and go through the obstacle pipe.

  19. Search the Unicorn Cage for a railing. Go around to where the boulder is.

  20. Use the Railing Pipe to move the boulder. Go back to the unicorn cage and search it for the unicorn horn.

  21. Now enter the tunnel nearby.

  22. Continue down the path past Zombies.

  23. Talk to Carl the Paladin or "Sir Jerro", he gives you food and a prayer potion. Then slaughter all three of the paladins to get the three Paladin badges (red, green and blue).

  24. Continue down the path and use the Plank on the flat rock to disarm it.

  25. Use the unicorn horn and Crests on the well type thing and go through the door. (Note this is the well you use your Iban StafF on to recharge it once you have finished the quest and have used all the charges).

  26. You are on the 2nd level of the Underground Pass dungeon (see map). Travel *all* the way down the east wall to the south entrance/exit that leads to the HUGE third main cavern. The dwarves live in a small area of huts near this entrance; talk to them. One will give you food; talk to him and he will mention a witch that knows Iban's secrets. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS YOU CAN'T PICK UP THE CAT! Now return to the 2nd level of the dungeon. Go east to the wall, and then head north until you get to a narrow bridge. Cross it and go to the hut to the south. [If you fail any of the bridge agility obstacles, you will fall into the center of the huge third cavern that you have already visited; just head back to the 2nd level again.] Don't enter or you will get hurt; just search the window and learn that the witch is looking for her cat. To find it, follow this pattern: north, west, north, west, north until you find the cat and pick it up. Return to her hut and use the cat on the door [you will automatically hide while she answers the door]; while she is playing with the cat, enter and search the chest near the door. You will find the Iban doll, an old journal, a stat restore potion and a super attack potion.

    Ibans Lair

  27. From the witch's house, go north, west, and then south to the three demons (see map). Kill them and get their Amulets. Open the nearby Chest and get the Iban's shadow. Smear it on the Doll.

  28. When you go back to dwarves (or if you fall you're at the dwarves), you should end in a HUGE open area. Go to the southwest for some Dwarves. After you've got the Witch's items, talk to all the dwarfs, Klank will give you Klank's Gauntlets and a Tinderbox. Take the Bucket. Empty the single indoor barrel in the house for Dwarf Brew.

  29. Go to the southeast part of this cavern to Iban's Tomb. Don't search it or you will take damage. Use the Dwarf brew on it and set it on fire with a Tinderbox. Take Iban's ashes and smear it on the Doll. *You can now drop your Tinderbox and the Bucket.*

  30. Go northeast into a canyon of spiders. At the north end of this area kill the HUGE spider (level 89). The blood automatically gets smeared on the Doll.

    Underground Pass Spider

  31. There is another set of stairs to the west of the spiders; these stairs will take you directly to the Soulless cage area for the next step.

  32. Go all the way northwest of the Maze. Wear Klank's Gauntlets, and Search Cages. The Soulless will bite you, but will fail because you're wearing nice Gauntlets. =) The cage that contains Iban's dove is very hard to find but keep at it and you should find it. Use Iban's dove with the Doll and you now have a Doll that is ready for the Final Battle
NOTE- when looking for Iban's dove, remember to look in both parts there are two parts with cages one northwestern (in the corner) and another a little more south from there...

  33. Now get ready for the Final Battle. Head to the middle of the maze, kill some Iban Disciples for Zamorak Robes, wear them, and go inside. Before entering the temple, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 3 EMPTY INVENTORY SLOTS or you will lose part of your reward (the Iban Staff, Death runes and Fire runes) since you are immediately teleported out of the room. In order to enter the temple you cannot have anything in your weapon inventory except for the Robe of Zamorak. If you need food Klank will sell some to you.

  34. Iban will see you have the only weapon to destroy him, the complete Doll. He will blast spells at you! (Which looks like monster legs coming up from the floor).

  35. Run towards him, hopefully dodging the shots, and throw the Doll into the Well. Iban will die. Stay there it will take a little while for blasts to stop after you successfully throw Doll in well.

  36. You will be transported to an underground area (this is why you need those empty spots in your inventory: you will not have time to eat and will miss your reward if you don't have empty spots!) Talk to the helper again and he'll take you outside.

  37. Go back to King Lathas and report that Iban is dead. You can keep Klank's Gauntlets.

    Underground Pass Reward

Some time after you have completed this Quest, King Lathas will send a courier to you with a message. This will allow you to begin the Regicide Quest.

Get on it and it will take you down stream and the raft will crash and break in half, and you will see the boy. Talk to him. Once you are done talking to him, look down the way to the waterfall (south Bottom View) and you will see a rock, now you right click on it and it will say "Swim to", use the rope with this rock and you will go across. Now use the rope on the dead tree and you will appear by a doorway, get in the barrel and you will end up by a fence, follow it up to a house, Climbing on the dead tree at the top of the waterfall gives 8 damage and opening the door on the ledge without a Glarial's amulet gives 5 damage.

2. Inside the house talk to Hadley, then go north and talk to Almera and then go back to Hadley's house. Go upstairs, get the book called "The book of baxster" and read it. Go back downstairs and speak to Hadley again. If you want you can go by the grave east of Hadley's house.

3. Go to Gnome Village, not Gnome Stronghold. Go through the maze and get to the cave. (Use the maze map below.) Once you get to the cave, go down. There are two ways to go, left or right. Go to the right. Search the crates and boxes and find the key, then go to the other side and use the key with the jail door. Go inside the jail and talk to the gnome, get the pebble, then climb up the ladder and get out the same way you came in.

4. Put all of your armour, weapons, and your other stuff in the bank, just bring food and the pebble. Now go to the grave east of Hadley's house. (It won't let you in with armour or weapons.) Use the pebble with the grave. You appear in a cave. Go straight and open the chest and you get an amulet. Then go the other way, open the coffin and it gives you an urn. Now climb the ladder and get out.

5. Keep the urn and amulet on you and go get your armour and weapon, food, rope, stat restore potion, and the 18 runes (6 water, 6 air, 6 earth) that were mentioned earlier out of the bank. Go back to Almera's house and put on the amulet you got from the grave.

Go get on the raft and you will appear on the island again, go to the end of the island, use the rope with the rock again and go across. use the rope with the dead tree thats on the edge of the waterfall and this time you will appear on the waterfall in front of a door (got to have the amulet from the grave to get in), open the door. Note: You can open the waterfall doors with the ammy but it does not have to be on, only in your inventory also if you open and you dont have the ammy you will take about 8 dmg and fall to the bottom

7. When you enter the waterfall there will be shadow spiders, fire giants, and mage skeletons. There are three ways to go (left, straight, or right), you want to go to the right. Search the boxes and crates, one of them will have a key. Exit the right side and go to the left side. There are fire giants in this room but you can run through them to a door in the right corner of the room. Use the key on the door to go through. There will be another door that you have to use the key with, then you should be in the room.

8. This is where you use your runes. There are 6 pillars: Put 1 water on each pillar, then 1 air on each pillar, then 1 earth on each pillar and then use Glarials Amulet with her statue so the floor will rise.
