Most great athletes are
known for their triumphs, but as we all know, Vince Spadea is NOT most
athletes. He is a one-of-a-kind rapping, tennis playing and lady lovin’ machine
and as of now, he is unfortunately known mostly for his defeats. All 21 of them. In a
row. Yes, Mr. Spadea is the not-so-proud owner of the longest losing streak in
ATP history.
Spadea overcame these
losses, however, jumping from 229 to 18 in the ATP rankings, and even won his
first and only tournament along the way. Injury has kept Spadea from
maintaining his ranking this past year, but he promises that another comeback
is in the making. In fact, Vince recently signed a contract with his sports
psychologist John which basically “guarantees” that he will reach the top ten. “Comebacks
are never easy, but they are a part of sports, and I’m quite ready and excited
about this new challenge,” he said. “I will return to my highest ranking ever.
I guarantee it!”
Spadea claims his
public guarantee will help strengthen his commitment, and we sure
