The Viking Swimmers of 1926 (VKS 1926) is a local arts collective that seeks to explore creative intersections within the London community, in an effort to help foster an exciting and inclusive artistic environment.  By means of its various projects (including print, music and film, as well as live and online presentations), VKS 1926 hopes to motivate innovation and involvement across and within numerous media formats and disciplines.  In emphasizing collaboration and inclusivity, VKS 1926 seeks to inspire artistic exploration and critical engagement.  Our aim is therefore to promote the conditions necessary for the development of a creative, thoughtful and engaged arts community.

VKS 1926 has currently taken on the following responsibilities: representing artists within the collective through booking and promotion, collaborating on projects with artists based in London, as well as other cultural centers, working as liaisons between artists, venues, and local media. We undertake poster design and advertising campaigns in a creative and unique way. We are also romancing the possibility of expanding into the following endeavors: film and visual arts projects, music and recording projects as well as non profit and community events.
