Some Gamers say that 2-D is out, 3-D is in. Sometimes they are right but in its case they are completely and utterly wrong. Viewtiful Joe brings the Game play that all gamers want in a game without destroying the graphics and life span. I would class this as one of my favourite games, maybe my favourite game of all time (And that’s a lot considering I have classics like Ocarina of time……ok maybe it’s not my favourite game ever but it’s up there!)

Visuals:

You will not have seen anything like it. It’s one of a kind in this sense and you can’t say that about many other games. Joe always moves smoothly unlike the characters in some other 2-D games. In fact, all the characters move smoothly, their lips move at the right times when they speak, which is better than some cartoons I know, (Writes this while watching the Simpsons, hint, hint Mr. Groening) and the characters are perfectly the right size for each other. (Easy enemies are Joe’s size; they get bigger as they get harder)I just have to say this. The visuals are Viewtiful! 10/10

Sound:

The Sound is good, but not perfect. When in zoom in mode, there is almost no sound at all if you are just running. But this is the only sound flaw. Joe’s Voice is perfectly animated for different situations, (His voice is slow in Slow-motion mode, And very fast in mach speed mode.) the music is absolutely brilliant and the noises of trucks, dripping in sewers and other sounds that go with locations give the feel that you are really in a sewer ect. 7/10

Gameplay:

In this aspect, this game is Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It’s fast. It’s furious. It’s everything you would want in a game of this genre. The design is elegant, and the controls are easy to learn. The Gameplay is the first thing I look for in a game, and that made me keep playing. 8/10

Lifespan:

Once you’ve beaten it, it doesn’t end there. You have another difficulty level to tackle, and you will always be coming back to improve your score (Until Viewtiful Joe 2! Please Capcom! ) This game will take you about 15 hours the first time through to complete. 9/10

Best Bit: Flying the Six Machine, It’s a welcome little side track from platforming and fighting. Worst bit: The harder enemies. They will kill you in seconds if you are not prepared.
