ROUTE 66 RALLY - May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2008
Thank you for your interest in the 2nd Annual VROA Rally. After much discussion about all kinds of wonderful ideas,
we decided to follow the KISS (keep it simple, stupid) management mantra. So, with that in mind, there are no guided
rides or fancy doin’s or wet t-shirt contests. What we ARE going to do is this:
Registration will take place at The Brewery, located on a side street directly behind the Cruiser’s Café 66 and across
from the Sultana. Bob, Charley and hopefully Peggy will hand out the NEW t-shirts and the necessary tickets. We will be
there from about 3:00 PM till about 8:00 or 9:00. There will be beer discounts for all riders who register (Las Vegas guys, take note).
The Ice Cream Social:
The wildly popular Ice Cream Social will happen. Be at the Westerner Hotel at 1:00 pm Saturday. Follow us to
Seligman to the crazy Ice Cream Parlor. Watch out for the mustard thingy.
The Dinner:
There will be a Dinner Saturday Night at the Sultana, serving at 6:00 pm. The cost is $16.00 apiece, your choice of BBQ Ribs or BBQ chicken.
Please pre-pay with your registration as they really do need to know how many will attend. If we have a hundred dinners paid the Sultana will
close the room. Charley is going to try to talk the Sultana into a “Happy Hour”. We will see.
At 8:00 pm there will be a raffle. This is where we get rid of a box full of large t-shirts left over from last year. If you wear a large and
you got a grease stain on your favorite shirt, or the dog ate it, check with us.
We will also have some great prizes donated by the Arizona Victory Dealers, bless their hearts. And a big Thank You to Arizona Victory and
Prescott Valley Motors for picking up the tab on our T-shirt last year. That was NOT cheap.
Cheap Rooms:
The Westerner Motel (1-800-385-8608) and the 9 Arizona Motor Hotel (928-635-4552) have agreed to give us discounts. Identify yourself as a
Victory Rider. The 9 Arizona reserved ALL their rooms for the Rally. So two guesses where the Parking Lot Party is going to be this year…
