Welcome to Vicky's Childminding Services. Before i get down to business, here's a little about me and my family!!

I am married to Paul and we have a 7 year old little girl called Holly, a boxer dog called Lennox and two guinea pigs called Ruby and Millie.                      Paul has a high flying job as a manager for South West Trains so he wont really be around much. Holly has special needs and attends Manor Infant school full time with a support worker. Holly was born with a chromosome abnormality and although her developmental delay is obvious, she has no other physical signs of her disabilities or needs. She is a happy, friendly child who enjoys being with other children.      

I have worked with children for a number of years and in various settings. I underwent intensive training at Great Ormond Street Hospital to enable me to care for a child requireing 24 hour mechanical respiratory support and subsequently worked as part of 2 home ventilation teams, working with the children and their families in their own homes. I have also worked on hospital wards and in a nursery before becoming a full time mum to Holly (in which time i have gained 2 diplomas in alternative threapies - swedish body massage and reflexology!) I have completed the Level 3 diploma in Home Based Child Care (Oct 2008) and have a current first aid certificate. I also have experience using Makaton sign language.

Holly is the main reason i decided to become a childminder, to enable me to be at home for her, but also to enable me to do a worth while job which i enjoy.
