Hi. My name is Vi and I started this site to show off my Rhodesian Ridgeback's I have 3 of them. One 6yr old Bitch called "Torre" One 6yr old Dog called "Cougar" and One puppy bitch called "Malli". I also have a Black Labrador bitch called "Tilly", a cat, "Covey". 2 Horses, one "Anneka" is 26yrs old and I have her on loan from the ILPH, (unfortunately Anneka has now passed on) and "Brogan" who is my Heavy Irish Gypsy Cob. I also have lots of Chickens, and two Cockerels.
Rhodesian Ridgebacks are great dogs to have, I won't say own, because actually they own you. They have tremendous temperaments, and make very good family pets. My one's like their comfort, they sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and don't like going out in the rain.
The breed originates from South Africa, they are a Hound, and are capable of hunting any type of game, including birds, and working around the farm herding cattle and guarding the home. The breed is highly intelligent capable of problem solving and possessing a long memory. They are extremely devoted to their families and need no training to be protective.
