A little about VetzPets International:
I started VetzPets out of a great need I had for safe durable products for my Bullmastiffs, if I could find a collar for instance to actually fit them there was never any selection and the quality was terrible, I?ve had collars & leads actually break that I had purchased from pet stores & at our animal clinic we have seen dogs injured & hit by cars because leads or collars broke. Also beds were another big issue for me, The dogs love to dig before laying down and would dig through the fabric on beds I would buy in no time ruining it,
Toys were a joke, I'd spend up to $20.00 or more on a toy for them (fuzzy toys of course are their most favorite) and they would last 5 minuets or less, not only that but I've found some very dangerous things in pet store purchased toys, from strings (which can cause the worst kind of intestinal blockage) to metal parts like bolts, screws, magnets, etc.
The "indestructible" toys I've seen advertised, like the hard plastic balls-well there not exactly indestructible, although my dogs don?t like these types of toys, or Kongs, we had a German Shepherd come into our animal clinic as an emergency with one of those large hard plastic balls stuck on her lower jaw, she had managed to chew a hole in it, got her lower jaw in the hole & couldn?t pull it back out because her lower canine teeth prevented it-we had to anesthetize her & carefully cut the ball off with a bone saw. So there is NO such thing as indestructible toys.

A Little About Me
I have lived with, breed, & raised Bullmastiffs for almost 30 years, I am also a certified dog trainer & behaviorist (using only positive methods of training), registered AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Therapy Dog Int. Evaluator (pending) member of ADOA, RDOA, and member of the APDT, I also run a Bullmastiff rescue program called North East Bullmastiff Rescue.
I am also an emergency & surgical vet technichian & have worked in the veterinary field for 30 years. I am a canine midwife & deliver every puppy myself, making sure they get the best of everything from the time of conception. I am also a professional artist having attended a 4 year program for graphic design at the Portland School of Art after high school, then in my 30's I decided to go back to college to earn my masters in business. Also most of my life I have had horses & trained hunter jumpers in Florida in my younger years, showed & gave riding lessons. Training Bullmastiffs wasn?t a big jump from training horses :)
My husband is also a licensed & federally accredited Veterinarian with his own practice, all of these things combined allow me to create the safest, most durable toys & things possible with a special copy write protected process using 1000 denier nylon fabric (stuff they use for US Army tents) and quilt the fabric the dogs love over the nylon like fuzzy fur, fleece, faux lamb skin (for the toys), etc. these are stitched together in triple, reinforced layers with 45 lb test thread, for long toys or toys made to tug inside I use 900 lb tensile strength webbing on the inside-VetzPets tug toys could literally tow a truck! There is no way even two big Bullmastiffs pulling on either end is going to break it.
I have the best product testing team anyone could ask for? All my 7 (10 if you count the bullies my kids have of mine :) Bullmastiffs!
If they don't like a new toy design I don't make them, if they love it, then it gets made and believe me if a toy last for a long time with my bunch of Bullmastiffs it will last an extra, extra long time for other dogs! All my toys are guaranteed not to rip on the seems were they are sewn; if they do you can return it for repair or replacement. Eventually any dog can chew through fabric, I've seen dogs chew through wood, rocks, you name it, so fabric-no matter how tough is not dog proof; however I use the toughest & highest quality fabrics available.
Being someone who has lived with Bullmastiffs for all these years I know not only what things they like the best, but what products work the best for them for a variety of reasons, so any retail products I carry are products I use myself & recommend using for Bullmastiffs & other giant breed dogs.
I breed Bullmastiffs because I love them more than I could describe in words, and love to be able to share the joy of living with one (or more :) with others who I belive will provide them loving homes. Any money I make from breeding is all spent on the dogs only, they are spoiled rotten-which is the way it should be, but not matter how much money I spend on them I could never pay them back for the love and devotion and joy they give to me. I was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease quite some time ago & have had 8 surgeries on my hands before deciding I had enough surgeries, I find my dogs are my best therapy!
