Public Disclosure and Awareness.
This case speaks for itself.
Despite my best efforts, the State of Michigan has decided to side with the veterinarian. What I view as an injustice is apparently characteristic of the way animal medicine is practiced and regulated here.
If you love your pet(s) as much as I cared for this comparative stranger, you'll want to know what happened and, at the very least, stay away from Jeff Dizik.
I may not be able to bring justice to Achille but I can bring shame to the responsible party.
WHY THIS DOG?
In the best of worlds-
people would instinctively love and feel the need to belong...with animals;
a human being wouldn't reign supreme over a seemingly lesser creature - and feel the need to show it;
there would be no animal abuse.
We don't live in that world and neither did this dog.
With business and politics surrounding our daily lives; where society creates laws to appease rather than to protect or prevent, the 'lesser creature' only has us.
It's about being human - the root word for such terms as humane, humanity, and humanitarian (as in good samaritan) - caring and getting involved because it's the right thing to do when everything else seems wrong.
