The River Tavern at Hawk Mountain Resort . Just up the road less than a 3/4 mile. In fact, you can walk the trails behind the cottage and get there in less than 10 minutes!

We are a year-round lakeside cottage located in a spectacular recreation area and adjacent* to Hawk Mtn. Resort, near recreation areas of Hawk Mountain Resort check out their Spa, boat rentals- Hawk fleet of boats, horseback riding at the neighboring Hawk Stables, hiking, Nature Preserve pond & lake swimming.

We are only 15 minutes to Killington Ski Area,, 15 minutes to Okemo Mountain Ski Area in Ludlow, 40 minutes to Bromley, 40 minutes to Stratton and Bromley Mountain Areas, and 20 minutes to the Woodstock area.

Plymouth- Right in town- Visit the Calvin Coolidge Homestead & Calvin Coolidge Historic Site- A preserved part of Plymouth Notch, see how it was in Calvin Coolidge’s boyhood days. Visit the Plymouth Cheese Factory, Frog City Cheese Go through the horse and buggy museum, visit the church and old country store/post office, see where Calvin Coolidge grew up and was sworn in as President of the United States.
Bridgewater (on the way to Woodstock) Go shopping at the Bridgewater Mill Mall for a variety of shops and services -includes Charles Shakelton Furniture & Vermont hand-made furniture and Miranda Thomas hand-made pottery ..., Hawk Inn & Mountain Resort - Antiques & Furniture Hill Billy Flea Market, &
Woodstock - In Woodstock,- there’s shopping, art galleries, visit Billings Farm & Museum, Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, Sugarbush Farm, and the not to be missed Vermont Institute of Natural Science and Raptor Center, Vermont Inn, Resort - Woodstock Inn & Resort, Woodstock, Vermont, walk around a quaint Vermont town with beautiful homes. Don’t miss a real old fashioned country store Gillingham's.
Quechee - Quechee Vermont Town Travel and Tourism Quechee Village Gorge ... On the other side of Woodstock- sight see Quechee Gorge, Quechee Village, enjoy the Quechee Balloon Festival, observe Simon Pearce | Glassblowing and Handcrafted Pottery
Killington- Sherburne~ Head north for action and excitement, be sure to take in Killington/summer- Gondola rides,or better yet!! MOUNTAIN BIKING ….You can ride the gondola to Killington Peak, there are 45 miles of mountain bike “ Two-wheel fun “ trails coming down! The Killington staff will get you geared up whether you're a first-timer or a “downhill demon.” Still looking for wild fun? Try the go karts. Killington Renaissance Festival
Should be looked into if you are around. Killington Summer Concert Series on Thursday Nights at the Library on River Road-click on Welcome to Killington Info.com! for the schedule. Killington/Pico Adventure Center features alpine slides, water slides, a climbing wall, outdoor skate park, mini-golf, famous gondola rides and 50 miles of hiking trails. The Long Trail is just up the road from the Killington Ski area.
Ludlow ~ In Ludlow, Vermont Ludlow- visit Green Mountain Sugar House for penny candy, maple ice cream, and gifts. Clear Lake Furniture, take an art class at the Fletcher Farm. Continue on to Weston, Vermont- Head to Ludlow and take Route 100 South to…
Weston ~…. Welcome to Weston, Vermont, One of the best night out I’ve had in a long time was enjoying dinner at the The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company - Vermont's Oldest ... theatre and taking in the Full Monty….don’t forget to go to the cabaret afterwards…not to be missed! Feeling like silence is what is needed or peace of mind, visit Weston Priory / Welcome! No? How about chocolate? ….. Feeling like some chocolate! Then go to Weston Fudge Shop. And of course, we don’t know what we would do without the Vermont Country Store For Hard To Find And Practical Items,
Keep on driving and take the kids to Bromley Mountain Day Park. - If you’ve made it to Bromley, you might as well continue on to the outlet stores because Manchester offers world-class shopping & a whirl of activity. This is a town with outlets and bargains. There are plenty of “cool” quintessential shops in between, I suggest you click on Manchester and The Mountains Chamber of Commerce--Home Page Manchester City Guide to be sure to get the best out of your trip.
