1.Most fandoms are admissible. The only ones banned are: all comic book-based videos except 300, The Punisher, and X-Men. If you want to submit a comic book video, I highly recommend Victoria's awards site, TXI. The Golden Compass, Eragon, Superbad, One Tree Hill, Seventh Heaven, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural, Dark Angel & Jessica Alba, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, and the OC are also banned. No anime or animated movies!.

2. Crossover videos must not contain any of the above listed fandoms.

3. ABSOLUTELY NO: Nudity or pornograghy, discriminatory, or insulting videos. No political commentaries or religious videos. No videos containing content pertaining to or depicting suicide. Please keep bad language to a minimum (preferably edit out the "f-word", anything else is okay as long as it's to a minimum).

4. NO SLASH.

5. Music: Banned artists: Josh Groban, Justin Timberlake and any former NSync member, Fergie, Mims, Maroon5, and anyone from High School Musical (including Ashley Tisdale). Banned songs: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" or "Wake me Up when September Ends" by Green Day; "Apologize" by OneRepublic ft. Timbaland; "CrushCrushCrush" by Paramore.

6. You can submit one (1) video per round. There is no total-video cap on this round. Instead, THIS ROUND WILL OFFICIALLY CLOSE ON 20 MAY!

7. Any video formats are accepted. Downloads are preferred to be from 4shared.com, but any working site is fine besides YouSendIt.com, because I never get to the videos by the seven-day limit. Any streaming sites (YouTube, etc) are acceptable. **IF YOU HAVE A LINK BESIDES A megaupload.com LINK, PLEASE PROVIDE THAT. I always exceed the Megaupload limit, so only three or four people can submit links. If that's all you've got, that's fine, but if you have a YouTube or other downloadable alternative, please provide it. Thanks!

8. Do not steal clips to make your videos. If you're caught, you will be disqualified and banned from subsequent rounds.

9. Old videos may be entered, but it cannot be reentered if it wins. If it wins nothing, it can be submitted into the round after the next one (so vids which didn't win anything in round 13 can be submitted into round 15).

10. ANY USE OF PIRATED *MOVIE* CLIPS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. There will be no arguments on this front. Pirated clips include: clips that were bootlegged from movie theaters, i.e. people sneaking in camcorders; clips stolen from videos made by someone else; clips taken off of YouTube. Note: ANY clips taken from YouTube are *NOT* downloaded - THEY ARE COPIED! This undermines every standard held by fanvidders, and is considered stealing. There is no download function on YouTube, therefore clips, either movie or otherwise, that are taken from there are strictly forbidden. Clips ripped from DVD's or TV SHOWS (NOT movies) downloaded via torrents are allowed.

11. You may enter your video into eight (8) categories, starting with Round 13.

12. All entrants will be entered into the "Best Vidder" category.

13. Judging is subjective and done by ME! Please, no complaining if you do not win.

14. No slideshows, low-quality footage (i.e. setting up a camcorder in front of a TV to get clips), or animated movies will be accepted.

15. Please link to me, and enter where my link can be found into the box that says "Where can I find your link back to me?" when you submit your videos. Buttons can be found on the Link Me page. 16. To prove you've read the rules, where it says "Why did you write that, Jim?" please put: "Is it because you know I love Count Chocula?"

17. The theme for the award templates in Round 18 will be The Office. This means the *awards* themselves will be Office-themed.. you can still submit any of the accepted fandoms :)

18. Winner of "Best Video" will be featured on the homepage of this website for the duration of the next round.

20. When you submit your video, you are agreeing to these rules, and therefore they cannot be argued. If you have questions you'd like to ask, feel free to email me.

- Best Editing - timing, effects, and lyrical matching go hand-in-hand in this category... it has to be nearly seamless to win, because this is a highly competitive category... glitchy videos, no matter how clever and imaginative, do not belong here.
- Best Effects - great effects and proper use of effects - includes colors, transitions, split-screens, overlays, etc.
- Best Storyline - usually for videos that have their own storyline, and don't follow the storyline of the show or movie
- Best Use of Song - either lyrical or musical matchup, clever plays on words, or fitting a song perfectly to a concept
- Best Timing - usually for faster videos, either clips or movements match the beats; slow videos are able to win, though
- Best Tearjerker - make me cry
- Best AU - alternate universe within a show or movie that did not happen in canon... for example, a Draco/Hermione relationship, or a world where Nathan Petrelli is the main villain. Remember, no slash.
- Best Drama - chronicles a storyline of obstacles, frustrations, and/or mystery
- Best Angst - anxiety, tragedy, or coping with such things.
- Best Action - lots of punches, swordfighting, lightsaber fights, running, explosions, or gunfights
- Best Romance - sad and happy romances can go into this category!
- Best Comedy - either funny songs or parodies
- Most Moving - doesn't have to be a tearjerker, but still has to have a lot of emotion
- Most Unique - unique use of song, clips, concept, or crossover... or however you think your video is unique. This is a pretty broad category.
- Best Movie/TV Series - separate awards for best TV series and best movie... if you think yours is the best, enter it here!
- Best Character - needs to be a character-based video, not a pairing or romance. Villains and heroes, teenagers and elders, monsters and humans - as long as it's just one character, it's eligible.
- Best 'Proper Baddie' - whether it's Sylar, Chuck Bass, or Guy of Gisborne, this category is for the villains we all know and love! It's named as such because of a Richard Armitage quote: "I've had so much aggressive mail since [the series 2 finale of Robin Hood], I'm a proper baddie now."
- Best Friendship - a canon or non-canon friendship - whether it's Frodo and Sam, Rory and Lane, or a Harry Potter trio video - as long as it gives me warm, fuzzy feelings of friendship, it applies.
- Best Couple - includes ups and downs and a happy ending - otherwise they weren't a good couple...
- Most Unlikely Couple - either a canon couple who weren't meant to be, i.e. Rory/Jess, or a crossover couple, i.e. Peter Petrelli/Veronica Mars. Basically any real or imagined couple that would never be able to get together, due to superpowers or personalities or what have you, or if they did get together, would never be able to work it out in the long run.
- Best Happy Ending - even if it is full of darkness and angst, if it ends happily, it's eligible!
- Best Crossover - crosses over two different fandoms
- Best Triangle - any triangle, real or imagined - Harry/Ron/Hermione, Aragorn/Arwen/Eowyn, Rory/Dean/Jess, etc. "Squares" (where there are four people involved) can't be entered under here.
- Best Tribute - any character and/or actor tribute, including real-life pairs. Movie tributes DO NOT go into this category; they go into Best Movie.
- Most Entertaining - a video which is appealing in a visual or lyrical way (this is a good place to put older movies, such as Cary Grant or Audrey Hepburn ones)
- Best Imagery - good use of location and/or landscape shots, as they make sense in the video. Hogwarts Castle, sunset over Sherwood, sunrise over the Caribbean, Kirby Plaza, Stars Hollow... must be visually stimulating.
- Best Harry Potter - Only one video will win per round
- Best Period Drama - Only one video will win per round (Robin Hood is not a period drama.)
- Best Robin Hood - Only one video will win per round
- Best Heroes - Only one video will win per round
- Best Pirates - Only one video will win per round
- Best Gilmore Girls - Only one video will win per round
- Best Gossip Girl - Only one video will win per round
- Best Dr. Who - Only one video will win per round - I like to call this show "My favorite show I've never seen." I've never watched an episode but I've seen some AMAZING videos for this fandom. I've yet to see a bad one, and that's saying a lot.

- Most Original - Not only a fresh idea, but use of clips in a fresh way. This can be changed to "Most Inspiring" if I feel it's appropriate.
- Best Music - Different from "Best Use of Song" in that it's a song that I've never heard but really liked, or it's my favorite song out of all the ones submitted in the round. This award is very subjective, but y'all don't know how many times I've wished I had it to award, so I finally added it :D
- Best Concept - An original and clever idea, even if it isn't executed that well because of lack of clips.
- Judge's Choice - A video I liked all-around, even if the editing isn't as good as others or it's short or lighter.
- Honorable Mentions - Three (3) awarded per round. Unlike other awards sites, who award honorable mentions to videos which didn't win anything, honorable mentions on THIS site are videos that just barely missed the "Best Video" slot. It means they were all contenders and stood out above the rest.
- Best Video/Vidder - The best video of the round, in my opinion. :D
