Velvet Fist performs regularly and previous gigs have included performances at the re-opening of London’s Royal Festival Hall, the 150th birthday of the National Portrait Gallery, Tony Benn’s 70th Birthday Party in the House of Commons, Oliver Tambo’s memorial service with the ANC choir, a performance on BBC Radio 4 of Graham Knight's haunting arrangement of the Red Flag and supporting Holly Near at the Raise Your Banners festival of political song in Sheffield. We've made 4 albums – Green And Purple, The Gloves Are Off, Pulling No Punches and Everything Can Be Changed. Velvet Fist is available to sing at private and organisational events (email for further info). = NEWS = Velvet Fist is looking for new members, especially tenors and basses (women). If you believe in what we sing about, can hold a part and can commit to weekly rehearsals and a couple of gigs a month, please email us for further info.
We have two gigs coming up in May – on Monday 7 May at London’s Southbank and on Saturday 19 May in Pinner (in northwest London near Harrow). Find out more by checking out our Future UK Gigs section.
