About Me

I am primarily a DXer, concentrating especially on the lower frequency bands. I have 5B WAZ (in fact I have WAZ on all the HF bands except 160m), and am at the top of the DXCC Honor Roll. But mainly it's fun to chase DX - all the rest is gravy.

About Me

Licensed since 1974.  DXer.

I also check cards for the ARRL's DXCC, WAS and VUCC programs.  I would be happy to attend club meetings (within a reasonable distance of Sandy Cove, NS)  to check cards for club members.

About Me

My name is Tom Marion my call letter's are AE7AW and I live in Everson, Wa USA. I am a Timber Cutter and a Meat Cutter by Trade. I have a wife, 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

I'm standing in front of a 400 year old Douglas Fir. This old growth fir tree was next to a nature trail, the tops of the tree were falling out onto the trail. Unsafe for hikers. We had to bring it down. That's me standing on the left with my crew.

My Great Grandmother was born in Pictou County and raised in Springhill Nova Scotia, her dad worked in the Springhill mine where in 1887 was fatally injured.

About Me

I was licensed in 1982 and passed the advanced the following year.  One of the things I like about this hobby ( besides interesting people ) is that there is no end to learning new things within the hobby.  Recently my wife Zeng Zhen ( in the picture with me) decided to get her license and is taking the course as of this writing.  She has taken a keen interest in CW and is doing a great job.  I am going to have to practice to keep ahead of her.

I am a member of the Tri-County Amateur Radio Club in Moncton and am proud to be associated with such a fine group of dedicated hams.  You can check out their website at  www.ve9tca.org
