What type of company is Vangurd International Promotions?

Vanguard International Promotions is a fight promotion and entertainment company. It was formed in 2004 to promote Boxing, Kickboxing, and Mix Martial Arts events. Our shows are held 4 times or more per year throughout the state of North Carolina and the U.S.

How is a Vanguard Promotions event different from other fighting events?

All Vanguard Promotions events are hard core, action-packed martial art shows. It may be Full Contact American kickboxing, where the fighters throw knockout punches non-stop, along with exciting front kicks, ax kicks, and spinning roundhouse kicks. Or it could be an International rules leg kick match where the fighters have shin-breaking kicks flying to the legs, head, and body. There is no acting, rigging, or stagging in our events. It is true amateur and professional martial arts combat.

Why does Vanguard Promotions sanction all it's events with the International Kickboxing Federation and with the North Carolina State Boxing Commission?

To guarantee that each fighter is judged and protected by an unbiased mediator outside of our organization or any other martial arts organization. This ensures that all matches will be conducted and judged fairly. It also protects the safety of all competitors and spectators.

How does the IKF and North Carolina State Boxing Commission provide Vanguard Promotions and the fighters that guarantee?

All judges, referees, and fight officials, as well as the IKF event representative, are assigned to our event by the International Kickboxing Federation with oversight by North Carolina State Boxing Commission. They have strict rules, which are personally administered at each event by the IKF event representative and a State Boxing Commission Executive. They protect the fighters and their best interest. Since Vanguard Promotions Director, Mr. Will Smith, is a former fighter himself, he knows first hand how important it is to take care of the fighters. Our events would not be what they are without the fighters, and Vanguard Promotions will not tolerate prejudice, politics, or corruption in any of our events.
