Well as it were the Spartans were at BCPPL Event 3 just a couple of weeks ago. Saturday had some tough matches with the field structured in a way that made it very slow and caused many of the games to go to time. After the day had finished some of our players had to catch a flight the next morning for the CXBL event in Edmonton. The remaining Spartans had regrouped and were ready for the next day; and what a day it was. Both the semis and finals had to be fought out in 1-on-1's. Its the hardest way to win a tournament but we gloriously finished in 1st place. The win put in sole possession of the series lead heading into the summer break. It was also our 5th straight podium on Canadian soil.
BCPPL Event 2 is this weekend at Panther in Langley BC. We fought hard this weekend. As it came down to the semi finals we lost 2-1 against team Old School. This dropped us out of the fights for 1st and 2nd as we had to play Notorious for 3rd and 4th. We showed them up in a 2-0 stomp as we landed a 3rd place podium finish.
Victory! This past weekend was the first event for the BCPPL. It was at the Stetson Bowl stadium in Cloverdale BC. This was an excellent event. We played on a field that the BCPPL had bought straight from Huntington Beach so we had some experience on it already. The overall venue was very well put together and it was a blast to play. The Spartans fought hard and with the support of the Badlands gun techs who were on scene all event we dominated our division. It came down to the wire in the final match with 3 very close games against WCA Vendetta. The first game went to the Spartans and the second to WCA. In the final game we played tight and managed to pull out the win and grab the gold.
Well we made it out to HB. Unfortunatly the jereseys we had paid for didn't. It was quite the expereince for everyone. Sun, sand, beautiful women, paintball guns, athletes and the drive to the be the best. As far as are games went, we could have done better. We didnt feel at all out of our element playing Div1; we just werent as prepared enough for the weekend. After 8 games it was all over to fast and we couldnt make it into Sunday. We all had a great expereince though seeing what it was like to play with the best. Now we will need to regroup and get ready for BCPPL Event 1.

Four members, Corbin, Brad, Andrew and Keirnan, attended the CXBL tryouts for Vancouver Thunder on the weekend. They dominated the scrimages and accepted positions to play for the top X-Ball team in BC. The roster for the first NPPL event is finalized. 9 members are playing in division 1. Our flights are booked and were ready to go, all we need is to keep practicing until we make it down to California. Hopefully we will meet the Governator.
The team arrived back in the lower mainland late last night from the Canadian Nationals in Calgary with another podium finish under our belts. After a disappointing first day, the team bounce back on Sunday and got on a roll that would carry them into the playoffs. We met our good friends WCA Vendetta in the quarter-finals and emerged victorious after 3 hard fought games. Short Bus - featuring JC from Impact finally put an end to our fun in the semis but we bounced back and handly defeated Defrost in the bronze medal match.

The Spartans are proud to open this new website as a way to show support to our sponsors and get the latest info out to our fans everywhere. The team is coming off its inagural event, and what an event it was; placing 1st in D2 at the BCPPL's Brawl for it All. The team played amazing all weekend, only losing two games during the whole event. We are now preparing for upcoming events in Janurary, like the MR Nationals in Calgary.
