WAR BETWEEN THE STATES

 

One of the oldest structures in Statesville, North Carolina, the Zebulon Vance House served as headquarters for Governor Zebulon Baird Vance during his exile from the State Capitol during the last months of the Civil War.

This historic home located at 501 West Sharpe Street, Statesville, North Carolina is operated by the Stephen Dodson Ramseur Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp in conjunction with the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The museum contains many interesting artifacts from the time period.
