Welcome to Vacation Acres Boer Goats
Vacation Acres is made up of me, Angie Ryherd-Brown, along with my husband Mike and our three children, Charlie, Justin & Lizzie. Nestled in a rural area of Monroe County in south central Kentucky, we are located right on the Kentucky-Tennessee state line. We live on the family farm which Charles & Joyce Ryherd, my parents, have owned for many, many years. Our children are all members of our local 4H Goat Club, headed up by Davis Holder & Gloria King; and our family is a proud member of the IBGA.
We started our herd in May 2004 with one full blooded buck and three registered percentage does. We then added two wethers, Rufus & Burger, and a non registered doe, Ham, as pets for the children. Later in the summer, Burger passed away. Shortly after that loss, we purchased Eyeore, a pygmy who has claimed Vacation Acres as her retirement home. In the early fall we purchased a pair of 88% twin does giving us a breeding herd of 5 registered percentage does along with the full blood buck. We lost one of our twins on February 11, however we purchased a solid red doe and her paint doe kid so we are now back to 5 breeding age does and a doe kid.

Currently our pages simply highlight the animals that we currently have along with photos of the children & LGD. As our herd increases and our does begin to kid we will add links for the animals that we will offer for sale.
