This is a wide area with a vast array of resources. Ask focussed questions of your resources to avoid being overwhelmed. Sometimes these two (2) areas are studied together viz. Emergent and Early. Some persons do not see any "boundary" between them. One approach is to examine the relationship between the two. Please note too, the importance of Literacy practices in the home at this stage.
