     Amateur Boxing Enthusiasts,

     Our year thus far has been great. The USA Regional and National tournaments were held early due to the Olympics. We were very well represented at the regional level. After the first night, we had seven boxers going into the finals. All the other states were worried. Unfortunately, Henry Espinosa was our only regional Champion. Congratulations to Henry, and thanks to all of the boxers and coaches for their great work and good examples.

     We have had several shows, which have been very good. A big thanks goes to Rick Montoya and all of the coaches who are very cooperative in making matches and committed to see that the shows succeed.

     We are continuing to subsidize the sanctions for our club shows. The sanctions will cost $100.00. Our LBC will pay the remaining $150.00 with funds received from the Boxing Commission as long as the money lasts. We are hopeful that the commission will continue to disperse the funds to our LBC so that we can use the money to benefit the majority of our membership.
