The USS Nightraven NCC-71387 is a Nebula-class starship and independent Star Trek simulation game set in the year 2383, after the Dominion War.
The Nightraven is a new sim currently seeking players for a story-arc RPG. Each of the Nightraven's missions will be a complete story in itself, but each mission will lead to the culmination of a story that encompasses all of the missions. Our sim is played via the Nightraven's message board.
Game Rating
This sim is rated PG-16, meaning the post content should be similar to what you might find on a typical episode of Star Trek, and the minimum player age is 16 years.
Writing Format
No special posting format is needed for this sim; all posts should be written in third-person narrative style, as if they are scenes from a novel, with text formatted appropriately--italics for ship names and thoughts, for example. Please avoid use of phrasing such as, "He ducks into the turbolift and hands the Captain a PADD." It should read, "He ducked into the turbolift..." Think novel, not script.
Posting Frequency
The GM works full-time and has a life outside of this game. The GM will post at least twice during the week and at least once on weekends or more often, as needed, to keep the game moving. If two or more players are writing an extended conversation between their characters, they have the option of using the chatroom or an IM service to write a joint post. That way, the other players won't be faced with a ton of posts to read; they'll get one meaty, interesting, longer post.
