There have been many fan productions released on the web, which has inspired some of us to contribute to keeping Gene Rodenbery's dream alive.  This project was created by a group of EMS workers who wanted to focus on an aspect of Starfleet that was introduced in Star Trek: The Next Generation's series finale, the Federation medical starship.
 

 It was January of 2008 I had picked up overtime with this paramedic that I had knew from passing. Anyway as we started out our 12 hr shift we were talking about Movies and TV and a topic had come up …..STAR TREK. Well to my shock I had found someone else that was as nuts about Trek as I was.

We ran our first call of the day and took care of the sick, and after the call was over I told my partner that I had to show him something, "but you can not tell anybody about this" he told me that trekkers stand by each other so show me…… We were on my unit 107 for our shift and my old partner was a bit of a trek nut him self but still behind closed doors shhh…  
This ambulance was a new truck and had flat panels and this door that if you opened it there were lots of led’s and what looked like a small warp core so… I placed stickers inside that say warp core access only by Starfleet engineers, in space no one can hear you scream, access panel 001, if you know what kind of stickers that I am talking about there are red/brown in color and are all over starship panels bulk heads etc.

By this time I now have my partner laughing so hard he looks at me and says “That’s great”…. He then opens up his backpack and takes out this lap top with more Star Trek stuff on it then I could ever  believe, after mult… hrs had gone by he asked me if I had been watching any of the st fan films ? I asked him "what fan films?"  he replies with "LET ME SHOW YOU!!!"

Well……. this got me thinking, Dennis then tells me I can do starship design want to see? What do you think I said uh… yea!  So here we are today AUG, 2008 in pre production of STAR TREK MISSION OF MERCY a story of a medical starship on a special mission, a story line very different then the other fan films that are out there at this time ….
