Will they survive all that the Milky Way can throw at them? Find out in the evergoing mission, Star Trek: Sequoyah.
Welcome to the USS Sequoyah! Our ship's name has a deep history, originating from the tribe of the Native American Cherokee people. In the 1800s, a man known to the Cherokee as Sogwali, and to the white men as George Guess. He was given the name Sequoyah by missionaries, and is best known by this name. Sequoyah studied deeply the languages of English, French, German, and a number of other European languages. After years of work, he was the first to succeed in containing the complex Cherokee language to an eighty-five character written language, instead of being strictly oral as it had been for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
This ship is named in honor of the great Cherokee and the people of that tribe. I myself am Cherokee, and give you a red man's welcome. Please take a look around the site, and feel free to e-mail me for questions, comments, or are interested in joining the ship. Enjoy!
