Astrological Sign| Scorpio. A determined and forceful young woman, Akai will stop and nothing to achieve success, falsely coming across as cruel and ruthless at times. Dionysia is, above all, passionate, although this trait can lead to obsession and a compulsive attitude. Blood-Type| AB. People with AB blood type are usually considered the great organisers. Being raised as a warrior, Dionysia embodies this trait of natural leadership. A diplomat for her nation, she was often relied on to set matters straight when it came to invading forces. She is honest and headstrong, along with strength in both physical and mental spheres. She can also be ridiculously nitpicky, finding the smallest fault to blow out of proportion. She’s easily offended and often unforgiving, able to hold grudges from first impressions.
Hobbies| Akai enjoys writing and reading, mainly through research and to do with her university lectures. Classic English literature inspiries her and she loves to read thick books on monotonous history, to learn as much about the planet she currently inhabits as possible.
Favourite Food| Akai has a terrible addiction to coffee, which started when she first arrived upon Earth. She is almost always seen either in a coffee house, or carrying around a styrofoam cup of cappucino.
Least Favourite Food| A vegetarian, she isn’t big on anything meat, and refuses to eat beef, lamb or pork. Occassionally, she will branch out for some chicken, but she prefers to keep with the natual, organic foods.
Favourite Subject| Since enrolling at the university, Akai has developed a thirst for knowledge that barely existed in her past home. History and literature are her favourite subjects, and she is constantly researching the past to find out as much as she possibly can.
Worst Subject| Math. Rationality and reason just don’t blend well with her naturally lateral mind.
Dreams| Akai’s main goal in life is to restore Dionysus back to it’s original state and free the royal family from their trapped lives. Everything she does on Earth is linked with this commitment to seek vengeance against the forces which destroyed her home, and change the course of the dismal future.
Civillian Appearance| Striking red hair falls just past the Akai’s shoulders, with thick black streaks visible through the ragged layers. Shadowy dark eyes are framed by heavy lashes set above high cheekbones in her thin face. Standing at 5”7’, she has a slim build with strong arms and long legs, accentuated with small hips and a somewhat flat chest. With very pale skin, she often gives the impression of being constantly sick, an indication of her weak powers. Akai is often seen wearing either her university fuku or simple clothes in black or red, sometimes covering her face with hats or scarves.
Personality| A reserved girl, Akai comes off as rather cold, though she’s merely distrusting. Keeping to herself while around civillians, she projects a mystique that provkes not curiousity, but mild fear. Her odd appearance makes her stick out in the crowd, something that she despises above all. Her eyes are nearly always clouded over and she doesn’t take much notice of her surroundings. She attends her university lectures quite dilligently, believing that by building up her knowledge of Earth and it’s surroundings, her power and energy levels will also rise considerably.
In contrast, Dionysia is a confident, fierce warrior. Ruthless in her attacks, she is not one to be swayed by mercy. She can sometimes get carried away, when her true intentions are overwhelmed by her sense of duty and sphere of influence.
Biography| A long history precedes the modern rebirth of the senshi. Originally a guardian over the near-Earth asteroid Dionysus, she was the strongest female warrior in the nation. Appointed prime protector over the asteroid’s princess, Keres, Dionysia fought ruthlessly against the invading forces that threatened the vulnerable planet. The empire held this soldier in high esteem, offering her extensive training to which she undertook with heightened determination. With no direct family of her own, Dionysia battled for vengeance against her parent’s brutal death. Her mother was a strong woman of selfless love, but was betrayed terribly by her corrupting husband, who left her when she was pregnant. The daughter of such a relationship was raised to trust only herself and not rely on others.
The eldest prince of the asteroid, Kurai, had also been trained as an elite warrior from a young age. When Dionysia reached the age of 19, the two were teamed up to fight the ever-present peril of the enemy. Together, they were near invincible, ruthless in battle and passionate for Dionysus. A resepctful love grew between the two of them, an unspoken vow that one would do anything for the other. One brutal attack of remarkable force overwhelmed the empire with the coming of Chaos, and the two soldiers were thrown straight into the war. Dionysia couldn’t bear to see her country fall, and plunged into the darkness on her own, ignoring the pleas from Kurai and the royal court. Her sacrifice saved Dionysus, but left the senshi weak and alone. Dropped onto the earth, she was forced to regain her strength as a warrior before she could rejoin her asteroid court.
Upon arriving on Earth, Dionysia quickly formed a mortal cover in order to live a false life as she built up her force. With only limited power to transform into her senshi form, she stripped herself of her guardian clothing and picked up civilian fashion. Masquerading as a teenage school girl in the grey and red fuku from a Tokyo university, she changed her name to Akai and took refuge at a local shrine for food and shelter.
Senshi Title| Sailor Dionysia. Originating from the Ancient Greek God, Dionysus, she represents the near-Earth asteroid of the same name.
Senshi Of| Passion.
Born from the remains of a broken heart, Dionysia represents how love can be obsessive and corrupt, when dealt with in the wrong hands. True love requires balance, and she embodies the direct opposition to pure, selfless love.
Senshi Fuku| Dionysia’s main bodyfitting fuku is the traditional colour of white, like most other sol senshi. However, it is separated into a two-piece suit, with white ribbon adorning the edges. Two sharply cut bows, the colour of silver grey, are positioned on her chest and lower back. Shoulder guards are jet black, matching the trimming of her elbow length gloves, her wrsits wound in black beads. Her skirt is also black, with a slightly longer layer of vibrant red visible underneath, followed by another layer of silver. A blood red locket rimmed in silver sits on her front-bow while a silver choker ties around her neck. Her tiara, although barely visible beneath her hair, contains a single red gem, the colour of her henshin locket. Knee high white boots are trimmed with red and black.
Senshi Weapons| Dionysus staff. The tall glaive is the height of Akai herself, with a long black body, ending with a circular structure on the top. A vibrant red orb, swirling with life energy is suspended in a silver hoop, atop which a small black crown is positioned.
Senshi Attacks| Kinsei Fusion. Meaning ‘balance’, this is Dionysia’s most basic form of attack, doubling as strong defense. In one quick action, she throws her hands out to the sides, before bringinging them around in a circle to her chest. With one palm over the other, she pushes her hands forward and shouts ‘Kinsei’. Fire-like spirals emit from her front palm, creating a whirlwind of forceful energy directed at her target,
Dionysus Mirage. Using her staff, Dionysia twirls it in her right hand before grabbing it with both, angling at across her body. She turns slowly and with a quick jump apart, pushes the lance out toward her enemy with the soft incantation ‘Dionysus Mirage.’ The red energy inside the orb emits a bright golden light which surrounds itself around her target, draining life force from it’s form. Similarly, a sharper attack can be used with the words ‘Dionysus Vortex’, which shoots razor sharp coils toward her opponent, seriously injuring them if her aim is true.
