Name: The Forsaken

Leader: Lord Urynmaal Kaegrokothar, The Vile Mist

Motto: We Who Mastered Life And Conquer Death.

Alignment: None. We are neither good, nor evil. We are simply...Undead.

Colours: The colours used in the clan and the format and design are not accidental. There is a meaning behind it. Black stands for the realm of death. The white or light grey signifies life. Using light grey instead of white symbolizes that life is not pure, but tainted or perhaps shrouded by a lie. Lastly, the colour purple is used to mark the gap between the realm of death and life, the space inbetween that the undead reside. It is a small space since this realm is not too well known and often overlooked.

Description: The Forsaken is a Vampire clan that is heavily focused on Roleplay. If you cannot role-play very well, either learn quickly or have fun and enjoy being a fledgling. This is not to say that we will not accept individuals that are not confident in role-playing. Hopefully, such players will join the clan and learn to role-play their characters better from it. This clan also involves a fuedalistic inner house system where the master vampyres can run their own individual clans within the larger clan as they see fit for their particular bloodline. The clan also involves the idea of bloodlines and blood strength. Ranks and advancements within the main clan does not consider character levels, but how well the player emulates the character and their show of understanding in vampirism. Alignment does not matter in this clan, but you must play your alignment. Clan Officers are in charge of all decisions made that affect the main clan.

 

Requirements: There are only 3 requirements for joining. First, you must be a vampire. Second, you must be level 15 to join. And third, you must have been invited by a member of the clan. This will prove useful in role-play since the one who invites you into the clan will become your sire. And that is very important when considering the bloodlines aspect of the clan. Although they are not initial requirements, in order to advance past rank 0, you MUST have a character description and history.

Exceptions: There are 2 exceptions. First is that a necromancer can join the clan. Second, ghouls of any class combo can join. For both exceptions, they must still be at least level 15, and must be invited. However, non-vampire characters CANNOT be Master Vampyres. Thus the highest rank they can reach is rank 2.

 

Ranks: Don't be in such a hurry to advance in ranks in The Forsaken. Each rank has various dimensions of role-play that you can allow your character to have some fun with. You might find that a lower rank fits your character's persona better than a higher one. Also, the Master Vampyres are the ones responsible for promotion recommendations. And all who seek to rise to the rank of Master, need to speak with Urynmaal. Here’s the rank breakdown for The Forsaken:

 

Rank 0 – The Fledgling:

Fledglings are newly born vampires. They serve as minions to their creators, while their sires educate them on the intricacies of their newfound unlife. This is when they begin to understand the theories and practices of their bloodline. Once their skills are complete, they can ascend the ranks of the Forsaken and further master their abilities and learn more about the history of their bloodline.

RP Tips: A fledgling may not be aware of the afflictions. This rank can be used to explore the idea of how the character discovers the vampiric curse of undeath. Also realize that at this point, the character is going to be experiencing a great deal of change in themselves and how they must react towards people and how they, in turn, regard them as vampires. They must not only deal with the physical afflictions, but the stigma that comes with being undying.

Rank 1 – The Anathema:

The Anathema, the cursed are exactly that. Members of this rank begin to understand the curse that their blood can bring to the living. Yet it is also in this rank that they soon understand that the curse that they carry is brought upon them by the vile trickery of the living. Another aspect of this curse is that they begin to realize the hunger for blood will remain with them, and the curse of the sun's light will continually torment their existence. This is a darker rank, one that ends in coming to terms with the curse and accepting them as gifts.

RP Tips: If this rank could be described in a phrase, it would be "comming to terms". Now that the character knows what he is, and what his afflictions are, how will he deal with it? A character that was once used to being under the light of the sun, can never see it again, for example. And also, the bloodlust. How does the character deal with the constant need to feed on the blood of the living? Or perhaps you can delve deeper into the theory of vampires being half-demons and it is at this point that the demonic soul that was summoned at the raising begins to take control, or try to. A curse of losing ones humanity. Will this result in fear? Anger? Resentment? Acceptance?

Rank 2 – The Atravoco:

The Atravoco is the Dark Summon, the Hell Spawn. A fitting description for the rank that is fueled by anger, vengeance, and utter contempt for the living, especially for the ones responsible for the curse. They seek to find worthy beings to transfer the gift of unlife to, while slaughtering those unfit to serve. These members are the right hands of their master. Some seek to glorify the name of their master's house, and some more ambitious members of this rank seek to glorify their own name. This rank is the highest most will see, unless they manage to usurp or match their master.

RP Tips: Now the character not only knows what his afflictions are and a little bit more about what it means to become a vampire, but they have also been exposed to the older tales of vampirism either through research or blood rituals. Another question to ask at this rank is, where to go from here? Are you going to forever remain as the right hand of your sire, or shall you try and surpass him, perhaps usurp the seat of Master? Of course that depends on what the character's desires and goals are.

Rank 3 – The Master Vampyre:

The Master Vampyre, Lord of the Bloodline. Beyond simply being cursed, members of this rank have arisen to a state of superiority among the clan. They have studied under the dark graces of the Ancients and learned much of the old ways. They understand the need to plunge the world into the darkness of the unlife. And they have forsaken that mortal coil for the allure of eternal life. But one does not simply become a Master from blood strength and skill alone. It was but one moment of greatness among many that spawned a Master. The Master is the ruler of one of the Houses of the clan. He rules that which he has sired. Stengthens them and aids them in their development, thus hoping

to make his house far greater than the rest. The focus of the Master is no longer merely the need to build personal strength, but it is now adjusted to revolve around strength-ening that House. The Master Vampyre is a being most feared and equally revered.

RP Tips: 

Rank 4 – The Scion of Blood:

The Scion of Blood is the Guardian of the Clan, the Right hand of the Blood Reaper. The Scion is a Master Vampyre whose house, and thus himself as well, has become more powerful than any other in the clan. The strength of his blood is unrivaled, for the moment, at least. This rank is reserved for the strong, and only the strong can maintain such a coveted position. Regardless, he who attains this rank has earned it. The Scion of Blood watches over the members of the clan, making sure that all are worthy followers, lest he invoke the Hand of Oblivion upon them. The same hand that can grace those who

embrace the darkness. Let the world succumb to undeath. The Scion guards the clan with one hand, and with the other damns the world, suffering them without question, without prejudice. Woe to all who appose the Scion, for he can call upon the aid of the Blood Reaper. The Scion of Blood sits upon a throne that demands respect, a throne of great power, a throne kept in power.
