The Committee takes this opportunity of thanking Members for their support over the 2009 season. The Club has had a good year again, and we look forward to a repeat in 2010. The programme for 2010 is now shown. The 2009 Annual Presentation Disco is on Saturday 5th December at the Flixton Dance Academy, Princess Road/Moorside Road Urmston. Details of the points winners have been sent to Members along with application forms for the Disco. Following another good year, we are pleased to advise that the Club has placed an order for some new and additional showjumps for 2010. Can we please request that points cups and trophies are returned as soon as you receive the letter requesting them.

Welcome to Urmston & District Riding Club.
The Club was formed in 1956 by the late Mr Larry Morrissey of Gloucester Road Urmston, and originally comprised 7 members. Over the years, it has grown as horse riding became more popular, and we now have approximately 120 members.
Our showground is located on Southgate which is off Church Road on the Urmston/Flixton border, the ground having a total of 6 rings holding the following. The Postcode for the field is M41 9EP

At the end of the season we send our Champions to the "Festival of Champion" competition at Valiants
We cater for all ages, Lead Rein up to 10 years, Juniors to 16 years, and Seniors.
Our Rosettes are of excellent quality, and go to 6th place (4th for Gymkhanas).
We have Cups/Trophy Annual Shows , plus a points system based on a Horse and Rider combination throughout the season. In total there are 150 perpetual Cups/Trophies to be competed for.
