One of the actors playing a munchkin in the film 'The Wizard Of Oz' hung himself and the footage was used in the film.

Unlike most urban legends, note everyone knows this one. That makes it just a little extra special… Anyway:

 

During the filming of the 1939 movie, The Wizard Of Oz, one of the actors playing a Munchkin hung himself on set. The suicide was caught on film and used in the final cut. It can be seen during the scene where Dorothy and the rest are walking through the forest.

 

This legend has been around for a long time and is about one of the most popular movies of all time, and most importantly, it sounds as if it could be true.

 

In fact, if you take the time to find the scene and pause it during the movement in the background that is supposedly a hanging, you will see that the movement is actually just a bird opening it’s wings.
