This is a Pure urban legend.
A teenage girl was hired by a young couple to babysit for their two children. After they left, she settled down to watch some TV. She then saw a news report about an escaped madman and she made sure that she'd locked all the windows. Unfortunately, she forgot about the window in the basement.
The children upstairs could hear everything as two people fought dowstairs. Suddenly everything went silent, but both children were terrified and refused to go and check. Then, a couple of minutes later, they hear a strange noise. Thud, Thud, Drag... The noise seems to be getting closer, but the children are two scared to investigate. Thud, Thud, Drag...
The next morning, the parents get home and find a blood axe on the floor. Then they discover their babysitter on the stairs, dead, with both her forearms hacked off. She was half-way up the stairs. She had been dragging herself up, step by step, with the stumps of her arms that were left. She wanted to make sure the children were OK.

She answered and it was a man who said he was 'coming to get her'. She was scared, but assumed it was a prank call. When the man called again, she was too scared and she called the police. They told her that they would trace the call if he called again, and to keep him talking for as long as possible. She agreed. When he called a third time, he said he had found her and it wouldn't be long. This was followed by heavy breathing and she got too terrified and hung up the phone. The next call that came was the police officer who said, "Get out of the house! We traced the call, it's coming from the upstairs extension!" She ran out of the house, but for the children, it was too late...

How could he be calling from the upstairs extension? This would be impossible, and he would have to be calling from another line.
