I suppose you could say the site is almost dead. Or... is dead. Either way, I don't see myself updating this site for a while -- or ever, for the time being. So many other things are occupying my time, and I've lost most, if not all interest in making sprite comics. This site lived great for a while, having been a little fun project to dabble around on since I was in sixth grade. Never did I think that this place would be as heavily trafficked as the counter implies, nor did I think I could accumulate and talk to so many great people with just a kid site that had an array sprite comics. The thoughts of this place becoming what it was hadn't crossed my mind when I had made that first post on the VGDC tag board. It's even more hard to believe that it was so long ago. Four years can change a lot.
I wanted to see Snack Masheen Studios grow and thrive, but my interests had eventually shifted farther and farther away from flash animation. I had really wanted to create a flash website dedicated to flash cartoons, sprite flash, sprites, and comics... But that's probably not the most original thing anymore. It used to be, but now you can't look at the NG Flash Portal without finding some shitty kind of "Mario Parody" with crappily thrown together cut scenes and voice samples from movies. It's not funny; nor is it cool anymore.
I also feel the need to mention that I've lost contact with a few of old friends -- Syco, Chrono (you never get on AIM anymore, man), TITROTU... among others. I'm still here.
Thanks, the two or three of you who still stop by here. One day I'll change the layout of the site and make something out of it - a memorial, I guess?
