Brief Profile: After a only one year in athletics, Simon has skipped the ranks to become take over presidency of the Club. He showed his ethusiasm to help the Club by participating in Run up the Spinnaker Tower Stairs for Children in Need and influecing new members to join at the refreshers fayre. He is shown his committed attitude through training and despite solid performances throughout the year he still has potential to fulfil. Simon will be keen to show he can keep up with pace in middle distance after showing he has plenty of stamina in long distance. The year holds much promise for both the Club and himself.

Profile: Tommy joined the club late during the 2006-7 season but had an immediate impact on the club. His bubbly, chirpy attitude means that he will go and talk to absolutely anyone. His attitude to training has improved immenesly and in 2007, he forced himself into the BUSA 4x400m team in which he ran a race to be proud of. The following season saw Tommy focus his efforts to sprinting in the 200m and 400m events in which he set new personal bests and a greater belief in his abilities. He is a team member who is always keen to impress and will take on the Club's secretarial role for this year.

Profile: Annie first caught the eye of committee with her totally committed attitude towards training and her knowledge of the sport in general. She is one of the most thoughtful, considerate and committed people you will meet, even walking all the way from her flat on an injured leg to let us know that she wouldn't be training. The entire committee is excited to have Annie on board and hope that she will be able to keep an eye on the financial side of things within the club which will allow us to put more money back into the club and its athletes than ever before. Annie recently defended her triple jump title at the Sussex County Championships. Although quiet at first, she has a wicked sense of humour and a hug for anyone who wants one.

Event: Long Distance
Profile: Dave's friendliness and sense of humour sets him apart from many in the team. A fantastic guy to know who will work hard for you and get on with what he's is told without any moans and groans. His professional attitude from day one made his appointment and continuation as Cross Country and Long Distance Captain an easy choice. Dave has the responsibility to find events and will be directly involved in the team selection process for these events. A keen runner and someone who is willing to listen and take on board what is being said makes him one of the nicest people the club has ever had. His positive and never-say-die attitude make him a great asset to the team and definately a figure that can push the club forward.

Profile: Following a great finish to the year preceded by his sheer hardwork in training, Max showed he is a formible competitor by winning a silver medal at the Hampshire Championships. In his every race witnessed so far, Max's facial expressions showed he always gave it everything, embodying the model attitude towards racing. Much praise has followed his achievements by winning the athlete's athlete and gaining the respect of the committee also to win the committee's athlete of the year also. This year, Max will want to prove that he can still beat off his nearest competition by repeating his past year's form.
Name: Liam Davis
Nickname: Bambi
From: Kingston, London
Degree: Computer Animation
Year: 2nd
Event: Middle Distance
Profile: Liam has showed he is sociable and creative during the first year, the necessary attrittubes required for a Social Secretary. Runs at Hyde Park and Teddy Halls Relays showed his desire to be as part of a team and also promising talent in middle to long distance events. Unfortunately, injury ruled him out for the last part of the last season but his recovery and continuing improvements in training state his intent. This year Liam will be keen to prove his athletic abilities and will no doubt give some of the other competitors a surprise.
