Below will be some things I like and dislike. The dislikes would most likely be the rules, while only some likes are while others may or may not be in an rp..it's whatever we agree on there. I'm nice if you're nice, if you're bitchy with me, chances are I'll be bitchy right back at you. My AOL/AIM name Alptraumfolter is the name I rp on. Any questions as to what I'll do, please ask but if it's already on here, I'll tell you to read. Sorry ahead of time for those that like lists more than reading..I brought back the length of words because people just don't seem to get it otherwise...
Also, just to let people know. I will rp with people that are new at this (I've done it many a time) but please have some grasp at the English language. No, I don't expect you to be perfect. However, please know when to use a , or a . when needed. One long run on sentence for a post just doesn't do it for me, and it's bothersome. Sometimes it's even hard to read because I don't know where things end or should have a pause.
Group chat rooms or group rps like in sls on some message board, etc. are not things I like to do. I grew out of that not long after I started rping. It's been too many years since I've gone to a group chat, so it makes me rather uncomfortable to even try. So no, I won't join you that requires more than one on one rping.
One word posts and one liners, they don't work for my kind of rp. I look for detail. I'm not saying you have to post box upon box in the IM, I'm getting to be around two plus myself but I will settle for less if it's around one box at least.
1337/chatspeak in posts (even if it's when we're trying to discuss rp or just talk) is lame. It's hard for and oldie like me (by oldie I mean years of experience with rp) to read sometimes. I hate it to say the least, but I can understand using "brb" or "lol" when just talking, etc. But if it's replacing r for are, 2 for two, u for you (you get the idea), it'll be hard for me to take anyone seriously so please keep it out of our IMs.
Starting with no plan/someone IMing and just starting is not the way I roll. I'm not asking for a full out plan, most of the time something to just get it started off will suffice because if everything is planned out it's no fun! As for those that start a rp without an planning and just IM, go away. I'll ignore you.
Full blown anthros are not part of my style either. It's great if you do it, but I don't like it. No, I'm not afraid of it (someone asked if I was once), I just don't like it. I prefer to think of real humans (though if you use an anime picture for a character, that's fine). The furthest I'd let this go is for someone to have the ears and tail of whatever (most likely cat boys..and no, I don't prefer to use neko because I'm not a retard anime fan. Yes I like it, but I don't feel the need to use Japanese words when talking).
Bathroom duties stays in the bathroom, not the bedroom (but even then I barely ever mention anything remotely dealing with that unless I say they're "doing their business").
Hermaphrodites are not something I'm into. I don't like the idea of someone having male and female parts, sorry.
Fetishes can be fun, but not for me. I'm not into any weird fetishes (especially feet..so no I will not do anything about feet. I find all feet gross so don't even ask). The most I'd do is very light bondage with being handcuffed to the headboard, being blindfolded..that kind of thing.
Starting the rp is usually something I'll do when I IM you, but if you IM me..no, I don't like to start but will depending on the situation..
Being the one to always do the IMing tells me I'm the only one interested in the rp to begin with. If you don't show any interest, I'll just drop it and get rid of you on my buddy list.
Master/slave rps are not my thing either, so don't come to me with your ideas for it.
Being asked to rp with you and only you is a no no. I almost always have to have multiple rps going because otherwise I get bored. Multi-tasking is what I do, and if you don't like it you can shove off. If you're the type to only rp with one person, fine..but don't expect me to do it in return.
I'll rp whatever you want for said amount of days if you rp what I want is the dumbest thing ever. No. This might be fine for some, but I will not go past my boundaries of comfort as I'm sure most people wouldn't.
Making a character up on the spot isn't something I do. Sometimes it takes me hours, even days to make a character because I want to make them my own..not just some quick idea that'll go away over time. If you make characters this way, that's fine but I myself don't do it.
Taking forever to post gets old real fast. I can understand if you're a multi-tasker like me.. But when you take twenty minutes plus, sometimes half an hour or even longer, it gets boring despite how much I love the rp. If you're slow to post like that, please don't waste your time or mine and just don't IM me.
Ignoring for no reason. If you don't like the RP, just say so. If you don't like me, just say so. I'm being more honest with people myself, and sometimes feelings get hurt because of it.. But I'm willing to say whether or not I like the rp or you as a person or something you do. I would hope that you'd do the same for me so that, if it's just the RP that isn't liked, we can think something else up instead of going into the messy world of blocking people and meeting them later on another sn.
Changing something about my characters for you is not something that I'll do. Most of them are not negotiable in anyway, though some I'm willing to dabble in their past so the age difference would change obviously.
Changing my font is getting old. If you can't read it, that's just too bad. It seems no matter what size I choose, what font I choose, what color, etc, no one can seem to read. I'M SICK OF CHANGING IT FOR EVERYONE.

IM rp is what I prefer to do, however I will do some rps in email.
The Gender of the person I rp with doesn't matter to me. Boy, girl, guy turning into a girl or vice versa, it doesn't matter as long as the rp is good, is fun, and keeps both of us interested. If either of us looses interest but liked rping with the other, we can try planning something else out.
Punctuation and spelling is great. I don't expect people to be absolutely perfect because everyone makes typos..but if it happens too often, or most of your posts are always run on sentences it'll get old real fast.
Adult/mature romance rps is what I like to do. When it comes to romance I do not like everything to be so happy and lovey dovey though, that gets boring. I like there to be action, violence, swearing, dark things, angst..etc. If you don't like it, don't IM me. If you do pure romance rps, don't bother to IM me because when the romance is too much, it bores me.
Long term rps are what I'm looking for. I don't do quickie sex rps at all.
Angst, drama, violence, etc are things I like in a rp to keep it interesting. If it's always happy it's boring.. Life isn't always happy, and that's the way I view rping. I don't have to have all this in a rp though.
Feelings can be hurt, so that means I'm not afraid to let my men (or boys) cry. If you don't like it, well..don't IM me I guess.
Age play is another thing I like. Does it have to be done? No. My current age range that I'll typically allow is 13 up to probably 55 at the most. It would depend on the character really so it's up for discussion.
Incest is another like that doesn't have to be done. I don't have many characters that are open to do this however. Father/son is the typical one, otherwise I will be making characters in the future that are more open to this in the sense of it could be a father/son, brother/brother, cousin/cousin, etc.
Shagging, it's something I like just as much as the next person. But I will not do pure sex rps. PLOT BEFORE SEX PLEASE! And no, I'm not British.
Virgins, as strange as it sounds. Whether it's the sub or dom, it doesn't matter. I have doms that are virgins, and soon, so I don't run into problems again, I'll start listing whether my characters are a virgin or not. If it's a problem for you, fine. Then I just won't rp whatever character because I will not change them for you until our characters happen to get it on.
Mpreg is something I like, but it's another thing that doesn't have to be done.
Modern/fantasy settings is typically what I do to allow the modern type sls to have people in it such as angels, etc if one of the characters happens to be one. Or, if it dealt with someone having a power of some kind (kind of like in Heroes or X-Men). Otherwise I do just modern and usually only that. I don't have characters that fit into the medieval era that aren't retired already (so if you see one of them there and like them, I'd be them if you came up with a really good sl idea).
Rape is something that's kind of a fetish I guess..or just being rough. Does it have to be done? No. I know people out there don't like it which is fine. I don't have many characters that'll do it anyway, but I do like some of mine being on the receiving end (especially with my cop Wyatt).
Multiple Rps are something I'm willing to do. I've had over 13 with one person alone before, though I can assure you it wouldn't get that bad. I like to have two or three sometimes because then if I get bored of one (or you do), then we can work on something else to keep the interest going in rping with each other.
