Time to learn about ALGEBRA. Now if you see my typing in [these] that means I am babbling. If my typing is like Note: this that means it is ubber important. And if it's in between these that means you need to have it done in your notebook!
Some words you need to know: Variable: A letter or symbol that represents a number. Usually the variable is n. If it is x it would look differently because x is also used for indicating multiplication. n + 3 = 10 n is the variable
Expression: n + 3 is an expression because there iis no equalss (=) sign. This means n + 3 is a pattern because it can have hundreds of answers.
Equation: n + 3 = 10 is an equation because "n" can only be one number, also the equals sign makes it an equation.
There is something called 'Algetiles' that can help some people. I personally find it annoying especially when Harbeck tells us to write dozens of questions with Algetiles.
