Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library

Grand Central Hall, Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library

Originally named the Galactic Library Annex of the University of Coruscant, the pride of New Republic's resource center, the Library will be renamed the Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library to honor the New Republic Prime Minister Emphrates Tilden. The Library is an annex of the University of Coruscant, constructed for the benefit of the galactic citizens. It houses some of rarest and most valuable artifacts in the galaxy.  Billions of literary works are housed in the Library for citizens to read and learn.  It is a valuable resource center for scholars and simple readers alike.  The Library will act as the replacement of the New Republic Archives on Coruscant, with the support of participating governments.

Dedication Speech by Prime Minister Emphrates Tilden

Thank you ladies and gentlemen on this grand galactic community. Before I begin, however, I wish to extend much appreciation from myself and the galaxy as a whole to the university's Provost, Akilah Thrapin and this library's Chief Curator, Anisha Lamberson.

This library epitomize specifically what the New Republic symbolizes: the free transfer of information and the unhampered quest for knowledge that anyone is entitled to. And here, we find this library, a massive undertaking indeed, opening its doors to anyone and everyone thirsting for knowledge... from anywhere in this galaxy. And what a vast store of knowledge they will find... this library is one of the largest in the galaxy... rivalling even the Mrisstian grand-libraries of my homeworld. The task of bringing such an institution into being is almost impossible to fathom, much less do, and so, I extend my deepest congratulations to Provost Thrapin and especially Chief Curator Lamberson. Thank you for all your work to better this galaxy.
