Welcome to the University of Coruscant, the most prestigious and well-known civilian academic institution from the Core Worlds region to the Mid Rim.  The University of Coruscant is located at the heart of Coruscant in Galactic City, along with many of its annexes listed in the Departments page.

Our educators are among the best in the galaxy.  Our deans and professors are respected scientists, businessmen, lawyers, scholars, and educators.  They come from all corners of the galaxy to the capital of the New Republic to teach the next generation of galactic citizens and to promote unity among the species and government in the galaxy.

From state-of-the-art facilities to comfortable dormitories for students and the best student/teacher ratios in the galaxy,  the University of Coruscant offers a wide variety of courses for young scholars and adults alike.  We offer every student the possibility of success s/he will take in their course of life.

This year, we are proud to open our one of two newest additions to our growing amount of resources at the University.  The Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library opens in honor of the Prime Minister of the New Republic to thank him for the dedication he has put into maintaing this great government.  It will be dedicated by the Prime Minister himself at the grand opening with a speech presented by him.  The Library is open to public visitors and government officials for research from galactic history to diplomatic law.

Also opening this year is our partnership with the New Republic Army.  The Reserve Officer Training Corps is the symbol of partnership between government and civilian institution.  The ROTC program of the University of Coruscant is open to students who wish to become a part of the Army in defense of the New Republic.  Future plans include extending the ROTC program to the New Republic Navy and New Republic Marines.

Every year, we continue to strive for academic and extracurricular excellence at the University, and we will continue to do so throughout the career of the University.  This University belongs to to the people of Coruscant and the people of the galaxy.
