Main Campus Building, University of Coruscant

The University of Coruscant is a university open to all inhabitants of the galaxy. The pride of galactic education, the university offers a variety of academic and extracurricular courses for the scholars and students of the New Republic and the rest of the galaxy. Located near the government centers, the university allows access to government buildings for research and other study uses. The University of Coruscant is also famous for its collection of billions of scholarly works in the Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library. The works range from literature and history to psychology and mathematics. Each year, thousands of students enter this university with hopes that s/he will learn something valuable that can be used in the current galactic situation. The diversity of the campus allows a broader view of the galaxy and a greater understanding of the galaxy around us.

This afternoon, the University Board announces a twenty-million-credit shortfall in the budget of next year's semester.  Delayed funding from the New Republic Senate and the lack of grants from several institutions has been the suggested cause of this shortfall.  The Board will attempt to make up for this shortfall in the near future.

Preparations for Ceremony Begin

Preparations for the dedication ceremony of the Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library have begun.  Today, the bronze statue of the Prime Minister was placed in the Grand Entrance Hall.  Construction of the temporary ceremonial stage and podium have begun at a rapid pace at the Coruscant Library Plaza and will be finished by the day of the ceremony.

Emphrates Tilden Galactic Library = New Republic Archives?

In a statement released by Chief Curator Anisha Lamberson today, the Prime Minister has offered to make the Galactic Library the official New Republic Archives on Coruscant.  Although the University has accepted the offer, a motion for funding of the project has yet to pass through the Senate.

Grand Opening

The website of the University of Coruscant celebrates its grand opening to the public today for the first time.  This opening comes with a preview of the soon-to-be-opened Emphrates Tilden Galatic Library a few kilometers from the location of the Main Campus and ten minutes from the Coruscant Crescent Country Club.  The Prime Minister of the New Republic will dedicate the Library in a ceremony to be held next week.
