UNITED SONG CONTEST

Welcome to Lausanne and the very first United Song Contest 1956

If your country will compete in 1956, you must contact the management to register for 1956 and then send your song. All songs will be available for download here on webpage the Oktober 1st and in soulseek also.

SEND VOTES before Friday 6th of October

Each Country have 10p to give in any combination to the other countries but maximum 7p to the same country. Example: 7,2,1 or 7,1,1,1  or 6,3,1 or 3,2,2,2,1.... 50% reduction for non-voters. You can not vote for your own country.

Now starts the making of the "History of old USC's". During the years 1956-2005 the United Song Contest had only one contest each year. First in 2006 UBU (United Broadcasting Union) decided to make 4 editions each year. The rules for the "USC 1956" will be explained in detail later but at this stage we know that back in the 50:ies the artist had to be from the competing country (some small countries might have special rules). The recording of the competing song must also be first released in 1955 or 1956 to compete in "USC 1956". As usual No ESC songs can participate, Covers of all kind is ok as long as they are released in 1955 or 1956. The number of participants will be limited because there will not be a semifinal in 1956.
