"The Walk for PSP Awareness" Sandy Stoneman McWilliams is over 500 miles into her 700 walk from Louisville to Pennsville. She seems to be on schedule, even ahead of schedule until thunderstorms chased her off a trail in Maryland last Saturday. The current schedule calls for her to walk across the state of Delaware on Thursday, July 23rd. She will do make up mileage, and rest at her brother's on Friday. On Saturday, July 25, she will be driven across the Delaware Memorial Bridge, get out of the car, and start walking again. The family plans for folks to meet her at the Cracker Barrel / McDonalds restaurant light at about 10 a.m., walk past the first Pennsville shopping center, turn on Union St, and arrive at her parents house at about 11:00 a.m. Church members are encouraged to meet her, greet her, and walk with her from any point along that last stretch. Sandy is invited to share in our worship service on July 26th. Plan to stay to a coffee hour reception after church to here Sandy's story first hand, and share the amazing experience of this child of Union Presbyterian. Follow her blog this week at the web site www.walk4psp.org and be part of her supporters.
