Everyone has goals, whether they be long-term or short-term. Here I am going to place my short-term goals for the year.
Things typed in  red font are the outcomes.

School

  • Keep up my 3.5 GPA average this year.
  • Do more work for ROTC.
    • I had (still do have) a 3.6 gpa... almost a 3.7.
    • I've done much for ROTC, mostly recruiting efforts since our numbers were under this year. Thus we are on Probation for not meeting the standards the AF set for us.

Friendsips

  • Meet new people.
  • Try to keep the friendship with Andrew strong and well.
    • Andrew and I are still great friends.
    • I can't say I've "met" new people, but I've gotten to know some people I've known for a while and found that they're great friends.

Love/Relationships

  • Get answers from Joey.
  • Try to make things work with Zach.
    • Oh yes, I recieved many answers from on Joey W. That ship, to say the least, has sailed.
    • Hah, well Zach and I were never meant to be. It just wasn't there, you know?

    • Get/Keep in touch with my brothers: Nate (figure out a way), Matt, and Kelly.
    • Get/Keep in touch with grandparents (Zehrungs, Millage, and Curtis)
      • I make these every year, but do I ever really keep them? No, not really.
      • BUT I do keep contact with my brothers Matt and kelly.
      • And I have visited my grandmum Z a bit.

    Religous

    • Learn more about the Wiccan religon.

      Top 5 Books of 2oo6

      Title: Twilight
      Author: Stephenie Meyer
Summary: I'd never given much thought to how I would die--- I'd had reason enough in the last few months--- but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this...Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of something else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something...When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcealin skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and surernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impentrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret.......What Bella doesn't realize is the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herslef and those around her at risk. And, it might be too late to turn back...
Reason: I skimmed through this book once after getting it from the library. Then, about a few weeks later, I saw it at Barns and Nobles and remembered it being about vampires and romance. So I bought it and read it straight through (no skimming!). I fell in love with the story quickly. Withing the next two years I read it at least 7 times. The characters are written in a way that you feel they're almost real and the plot has enough drama to keep you occupied for a few days.

      Title: New Moon
      Author: Stephenie Meyer
Summary: I felt like I was trapped in one of those terrifying nightmares, the one where you have to run, run till your lungs burst, but you can't make your body move fast enough.... But this was no dream, and, unlike the nightmare, I wasn't running for my life; I was racing to save something infinitely more precious. My own life meant little to me today........ For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beggining.
Reason: Once you read it's prequal, Twilight, you will have no problem reaching for this heart-wrenching sequal. Written in a way that makes it as good (if not better) than the first, I had no qualms about reading it. In fact I looked forward to it. I bought it the day it came out and finished it within' the week (I had to read Twilight once more, of course!). It's a great mix of drama and romance, but warning, have a box of tissues on hand while reading.

Title: Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment
      Author: James Patterson
Summary: Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel are kids who are pretty normal-except that they're 98% human, 2% bird. They grew up in cages, living like rats, and now they're free-but being chased by the wicked, wolf-like Erasers, who've kidnapped Angel. Led by Max, the "Flock" embarks on a quest to find Angel, infiltrate a secret facility to track down their parents, get revenge on an evil traitor, and try to save the world-if there's time.
Reason: This is an excellent book done by Patterson. Written in Max's point of view many of the things mentioned seem too real. It's short chapters make it simple, but not easy to put down no matter what! If you like fast pace, always movieng novels this is one for you to check out!

Title: Maximum Ride: School's Out- Forever
      Author: James Patterson
Summary: In a flying fight with Erasers, Fang is injured so seriously that the flock takes him to a hospital. It's obvious he's not a normal human (having wings and avian DNA), so it isn't long before the FBI shows up. Anne Walker, the lead agent, takes the flock home to her Virginia farm, where she tries to mother the kids and enrolls them in a nearby private school. Living a somewhat normal life for the first time, Max, 14, manages a date and a first kiss, and others in the flock begin the quest to find their birth parents. Then everything falls apart, and the six kids face betrayal and extreme danger.
Reason: It's the must read sequal. This one is just as fast pace and interesting as the first, beggining where the first one ends off at. Many questions get answered but so many more get asked. By the time you're finished you will be looking forward to the third installment (Maximum Ride: Saveing the World and Other Extreme Sports) that comes out May 22, 2007

      Title: Rainbow Boys
      Author: Alex Sanchez
Summary: Jason Carillo is a jock with a steady girlfriend, but he can't stop dreaming about sex... with other guys. Kyle Meeks doesn't look gay, but he is. And he hopes he never has to tell anyone- especially his parents. Nelson Glassman is "out" to the entire world, but he can't tell the boy he loves that he wants to be more than just friends.
Reason: This is the first in the Rainbow Trilogy but by far the best (not that the others are bad.... they're great actually). The characters are real and the plot development is both believealbe and intriguing. It definitly deserved it's award of "Gay Youth Book of the Year".
