UNCG Fam Jam/Black Alumni

Dr. Tara T. Green, the new chair of the African-American Studies Program at UNCG, is establishing a database or group of UNCG alums willing to contribute their time to providing mentoring support for current UNCG African-American Studies students.  Alumni are asked to help Tara and current UNCG students by doing the following:

• Internship prospects
• Employment prospects
• Willing to answer questions about an occupation or career field
• Willing to answer questions about what one can do with a degree in African-American Studies
• Willing to answer questions about your graduate school and professional school (law school, medical school, business school, etc.) experiences

Tara is quite eager to aid the students and we alums should be just as eager to help future Spartans.  Partnering with these UNCG students is a win-win situation. 

Alums need not commit to anything more than being a resource.  Tara may convene a meeting or session or conversation between the alum and the students on these and other topics.  This is an excellent opportunity for alums, especially those in North Carolina, to give back to UNCG and reach back to help current students.
