I was looking for something to capture the essence of my website. The proceeding was my first attempt and it just seemed a little too "granola-y"
"I have always been a dreamer. However, life has created quite a distraction that has kept me from fulfilling many of my dreams. Time proceeds forward too quickly and thirty-two years have swiftly come and gone. Now, more than ever, I feel the need to stop, breath, and reflect on my journey and that which lies ahead. This webpage serves as a reminder, reflection, and archive of the wisdom I intend to gather. I hope to have a better understanding of the journey as well as the traveler. Please feel free to walk with me from time to time."
Although true, not exactly what I am looking for...here let me try again.
I grew up with a love for old black and white movies and evenings of Nick at Night. Imagine my surprise when real life was very different from "Leave it to Beaver." I truly want to believe that the innocence of that time has not been laid to rest. Now don't get me wrong. I don't want to go through life with rose-colored glasses. I just don't want to buy into the loss of innocence our society is perpetuating. I want my daughters to wear clothes for little girls and not be "lil tike hoochy mamas". I want to grow a garden in my backyard and enjoy the fruits of my labors. I want to use dishtowels in the kitchen from time to time instead of paper towels. Yes, it's true, I want to wear an apron when I cook (perferably a vintage one)! I want to be resourceful and live a little more simple. I don't think that is too much to ask.
