Standard Suites
Standard First Class suites
On B Deck there are eight Standard Suites set forward of the first funnel. All suites are fully carpeted, with one or two metal bedsteads and a dressing table with drawers. Some have the addition of a sofa bed, and some have their own bath or shower. For those cabins that do not, there are two communal areas with toilets and baths. The Standard Suites on B Deck while quite modest in size at least afford their passengers quick access to the outside upper promenade deck, the Ladies' Writing Salon and the grand Social Hall.

Standard Suites / Chambre de luxe / Emperor's suites
Standard First Class suites
These suites come in both Inside and Outside cabins. All outside cabins on C Deck and D Deck have exterior views of the Lower Promenade.
Chambre de luxe suites
C and D Decks come with a salon, trunk room, and full bath and toilet. There is also a sofa bed for additional passengers, and a large writing desk with drawers to each side and an adjustable three-paneled mirror headboard with overhanging light. In the salon there is a sofa with matching plush armchair, a linen or wardrobe closet, a view of the ocean through a curtained window, and fireplace. On C Deck, the two Chambre de luxe suites are directly port and starboard of the second funnel.

On D Deck there are 10 Chambre de luxe suites grouped together on the port and starboard sides between the two forward funnels. For standard First Class suites without either a toilet or bath or shower, there were two communal male and female bath and toilet areas. The first was just aft the first funnel. Each had three baths, four toilets, with the womens having a large dressing area where, in the mens room, there were four urinals. The second was just right behind the second funnel with two baths, four toilets, and additional three urinals for the men.
Emperors' Suites
These are the grandest suites on the Imperator and cost $5,000.00 a voyage. One Emperors suite is on the port side, the other on the starboard side. Designed by J.D. Heyman, Hamburg and Fittje & Michaheller of Hamburg, each suite comes with two richly appointed bedrooms that are separated by a decorative Veranda, referred to as the Kaiser's study.

Each bedroom has wall-to-wall carpeting, cluster lights, fireplace-style heating, and an ensuite trunk room. There is even original oil paintings. One bedroom has an ensuite bath and toilet, trunk room, linen closet, two wardrobe closets, and a pantry. The other bedroom has a toilet and shower, toilet and bath, a wardrobe closet and a slightly larger trunk room. In each bedroom there is a king-sized bed. To each side of the bed is a small curio style, pane glass cabinet/night stand with a decorative night lamp and a set of drawers below. At the foot of each bed guests will find a comfortable, plush chaise lounge, a matching chair and small coffee table. Each bedroom has a marble washbasin and oval vanity mirror with overhanging light. There is also a beautiful writing bureau with an expansive three-paneled mirror headboard and, to each side, a large, pane-glass cabinet (with shelves) and lower drawers.

Moving from the bedroom into the enclosed Veranda, the passengers will find themsleves walking on a decorative rug over a marbled floor and staring at richly appointed marble paneling. There was also a marble fireplace with floral garlands about the mantle.

The furniture in the Veranda consists of a padded wickerwork sofa, matching lounge, and three wicker worker chairs. To each side of the sofa were gated, glass paneled decorative doors cloaked in fine opaque drapery on the outside. One set of doors opened to the breakfast room, the other into the Imperial suite's salon. The breakfast room had a table with six chairs while the salon had a sofa bed and writing table.
Whether you travel in a standard Suite or the Emperor's Suite, we have made every effort to supply our First Class passengers with all the comforts of a fine hotel. In First Class 121 cabins have their own private bath and toilet while another 20 cabins had their own private shower and toilet. Then there were 10 cabins with just a private toilet.
All First Class are fully equipped with electrical connections for light, heat, ventilation, and call bells. In addition to the steam heating system in the Imperial suites and State suites (2 on C Deck and 10 on D Deck), there were electrical heaters.
Between both staterooms and salons in First Class, a telephone service is maintained from a central switchboard so that passengers in these areas can easily talk or call various on-board shops and services.
