The Grillroom
For romantic and intimate dining of another style, the First Class passenger may also elect a afternoon or evening retreat in the quiet and romantic Grillroom located aft on the promenade deck.

Designed with a two-fold purpose aimed at all round comfort of the First Class passenger, the aft, port, and starboard sides of the Grillroom are delicately outfitted with charming antique glass windows that can be lowered in pleasant evening weather to make an open-air Veranda. For breezy nights, the staff will kindly draw the Venetian blinds.
The Grillroom is light and antique in concept; reflecting the peace and warmth of summer cottage resort. The floor is tiled in expensive colored stone wedges and the ceiling in exposed wooden low beams.
A romantic dining and conversational atmosphere is ensured by use of soft-light table lamps and decorative candles hung on the Oak paneled walls and columns to create further warmth. The seating in the grillroom consists of expensive gold-brown Oak chairs replicated in the style of 17th century Western Schleswig and Northern Friesland (territories in northern Germany). Each chair is made with handmade material in Gobelin design.
The food in the Grillroom is prepared before the guest and served buffet style. We find many of our First Class guests delight in this casual yet sophiscated style of dining offered in the Grillroom. No reservations are required, so please join us for lunch or dinner, or a romantic evening drink with your special lady.
In the photo below, you can see our Grillroom (White) overlooking the Promenade.

A Note to Our Passengers
Unfortunately, due to stability problems experienced during sailing, the Grillroom will be removed following the final voyage of 1913. We apologize for this inconvenience.
