Well, well, well!! i realise that i have not updated this page for an unforgivably long time, i can but offer my humble apologies! Unfortunately, the fixtures page isn't up to date either but i have to get the results off the captains before i can do that!!
Anywhoo, i'm sure you're all silently wishing me to get on with the juicy stuff - tour!! Sadly, due to time, space and energy constraints, you won't be finding these torrid tales on this front page!! primarily because, to continue the facade of decency and moral standing, i refuse to write of the sordid goings-on on the front page of this hallowed website!! And secondly, because most of it has already been reported on the messageboard!!
However, for a brief summary of the season, read on!!
I think it can only really be described as a season of mixed fortunes. While nothing is certain as yet, it appears that relegation looms for the 1st XI in BUSA, a particularly bitter pill to swallow as we are level on points with the team above us, are only 1 goal behind them, and it's Coventry - the scene of a spectacular 6-1 victory in the last game of the BUSA season. Bugger it!! Conversely, we have been dominant throughout the season in the saturday league, Leicestershire div 2. Although as i write this, i don't know where we are in the table and we still have a game in hand, but hopefully, promotion is still a prospect!
However, to cap it all off, a fine display on tour in Rimini, Italy, saw us victorious in the plate competition - hurrah!! No mean feat let me assure you since the whole team was blind drunk and sunburnt to the point of crispiness!! but who cares??
SILVERWARE!!
Apart from this roller-coaster of fortunes, this season has seen green, yellow and red cards, several almost brawls, some good banter, awesome goals, awesome saves, great play and some good team-work (god, how cheesy am i!!).
For those heading off for pastures new, good luck!! For those remaining, keep up the good work!! And for those joining, God help you!!
