UK Internet Radio Developments

Following on from the very successful launch of Radio Basingstoke and Radio

Bracknell - and the development of CMR Nashville Radio into a

global brand, UKIRD are planning to launch a

brand new community internet 24/7 music

radio station serving the Alton, Hampshire

(UK) area. This is your chance to become  

involved!

How can you become a radio presenter?

Simple! If you are a music enthusiast or have a burning desire to be a radio presenter, and have a good computer or home studio, why not join our team of presenters with your own show.

The satisfaction of being able to share your passion for music or your personal interests with a local and global audience is enormously gratifying.

How can you be involved as a volunteer?

Again, that's simple! If you have good IT skills, and have a good home computer, why not join our team and volunteer to design/maintain the website or our MySpace presence. This will only involve an hour or so a week.

If you have a little more time, maybe three hours a week, and wish to learn to schedule the programmes then we would train you to do so. Reliability is the key though. You will be sent programmes as MP3 files after they have been edited so that you can programme them in with the commercials, pre-recorded guest interviews and public service/charity announcements. Obviously, these must be scheduled for broadcast at specific time slots.

If you do not have a computer or the level of skills needed you can still volunteer. We need bright, bubbly, people to help with local promotions and outside broadcasts. Heck, you even get a tee-shirt, now how cool is that?

How can you advertise on the new radio station?

Thousands of people listen in to internet radio stations. Clearly, local people are the major focus but others with an interest in the area will also listen in. Indeed, people will listen in from across the globe.

You can promote your business, advertise your special offer promotions or events by running a series of 30-second radio commercials, sponsoring shows or sponsoring our attendance at your event so that a dedicated show can be broadcast subsequently.
