"United Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla Association"
 
The United Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla Association, with its over 90 members, which span 22 states and 6 countries, is the largest, most active, and only recognized National Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla club in America. Hosting both UKC licensed field and conformation events, the UHWVA strives to promote the Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla in America while preserving the breed.
With a membership that spans both within the USA and abroad, the UHWVA welcomes all future and current HWV owners be they breeders, show exhibitors, hunters, or companion dog owners.
 

Our Objective:

To protect and promote the Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla by maintaining our breed’s unique qualities and characteristics as developed in Hungary, the country of our breed’s origin.

To preserve the Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla working standard in the field as a close working gun dog for the foot hunter.

To assist the United Kennel Club Inc. in encouraging participation in Field Trials, Conformation shows, and TAN (Natural Ability) Tests in the USA which are modeled as closely as possible after those held in Europe under the auspices of the F.C.I.

To educate the public about the Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla in the United States.

To provide a forum of fellowship, friendship and cooperation among owners and fanciers of the breed.
