UEA Fencing is a growing club, attracting around 80 members initially each year. A wide range of experience levels are represented at our sessions and we do our best to cater for everyone. Unfortunately we can only offer a fixed number of places for beginners who have never fenced before, usually 25 in each session per semester (50 total). Make sure you arrive early at SportsMart on the first Wednesday of each semester to claim a place!
Membership fee's for the Club includes coaching for weekly sessions throughout the semester , the use of all equipment, and membership of Norfolk Fencing Club. The fees for 2009/2010 are yet to be confirmed but will be in the range of:
£20 per semester OR
£25 for the entire academic year
In addition, to the membership fee, in order to join you must purchase sports insurance from the Student Union, which can be purchased at Sportsmart but it must be done before we can accept you as a member. So please do not queue up until you have obtained sportsinsurance otherwise you will have to go run around the hall queue up for the insurance and come back to us.
