More and more students today are curious about, and understand the value of a higher education. However, many are misled with the notion that only those with a lot of money are college bound. This site has been created to educate students in a way that is not overwhelming, while correcting some of the common misconceptions regarding college financing. Information found here will show how to pick the right college, apply, and also fund your way through. In short, the purpose is to provide the information necessary to embark on an academic journey towards a more rewarding future.

You may be thinking, "Yea, college sounds great and I would if I could but neither I nor my family has that kind of money."
Honestly, I find this to be an often tiring and pathetic excuse. My name is Sandy and the starter of the "Finding a College & Funding Your Way" website. I recently graduated from UC San Diego, but 4 years ago I was in your shoes and trying to figure out how I was going to pay for college. I grew up in a single-parent, low-income family with 2 sisters and one brother who all wanted to go to college and as of 2007 we all have graduated from college having received NO financial assistance from our family. No offense to my family, but we're not special and if we did it, there's no doubt that any one of you guys can also.
