AUDITION DATES 2011

Tuesday September 13th 9-11 in the Student Union Ballroom & Wednesday September 14th 830-11in the Hawley Armory

No previous kickline experience necessary.  Attendance both days is required.

ATTIRE:
Shoes are a personal preference. Dance shoes, sneakers or socks are fine.
Tight-fitted clothing is preferred.

REGISTRATION:
Please arrive 10 minutes early to stretch and register.


AUDITION INFO:
Auditions for the UConn Kickline Team are a mandatory two day process. A short dance and a series of kicks will be taught by the captains on the first day of auditions. You will not be judged on the first day. On the second day of auditions, you will be asked to perform the routine and kick sequence in small groups in front of a panel of judges; there will then be the first cut of tryouts. The remaining girls will be placed in groups of four to further audition.
Additional skills such as splits and pirouettes may also be asked to be shown.

Mandatory Practices this season will be held on:

The Kickline Team has mandatory practices twice a week from September through March. Additional practices are scheduled as needed. These extra practices usually arise during Homecoming and Competition season. Besides learning new routines, choreography and kick sequences the team also conditions together. The team works very hard during practice but in the end reaps fantastic benefits.
