WELCOME 2009 FRESHERS!
Welcome to UCL and the fantastic UCL Union. We hope you find everything you need on this website to help you get involved this year.
We are looking for fun, committed and talented new members all the time - please read below all the ways YOU can be involved with one of the best societies at UCL.
FRESHERS WEEK 2009
Your first opportunity to get involved is at FRESHERS FAYRE which will take place on THURSDAY 1ST AND FRIDAY 2ND OCTOBER in the South Cloisters. MAKE SURE you come and visit us at our stand and find out all the information about how to get involved this year.
LES MISERABLES - THE FRESHERS MUSICAL
Yes, you read correctly! We are planning a first for our society, a production of the classic musical LES MISERABLES that will take place in 24 hours...You will have 1 day to put the show together and then perform in front of friends/family in one of UCL's fantastic performance venues. EVERYONE, yes, EVERYONE can be involved in this project - NO AUDITION NECESSARY! Come along to Freshers Fayre to find out all the details.
Auditions for lead parts in LES MISERABLES - THE FRESHERS MUSICAL will take place on Friday 2nd October with the performance happening on Saturday 3rd.

INTO THE WOODS
BLOOMSBURY THEATRE DECEMBER 09
Our first full scale musical of the year will be Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award winning musical INTO THE WOODS.
This production will take place in our very own WEST END THEATRE, the Bloomsbury (http://www.thebloomsbury.com/) from December 3rd - 5th 2009.
AUDITIONS are open to EVERYONE - members of the society, freshers, current UCL students, EVERYONE is invited to attend! Please note, you MUST be a full time UCL student enrolled for the full academic year (2009/10) or a 1 term affiliate to be eligable to be in the show.
AUDITIONS will be held through an informal group atmosphere and will take place on
SUNDAY 4th October
Edward Lewis Lecture Theatre, Windeyer Building (a MUSO rep will meet you at the main UCL gates half an hour before each audition to bring you if you don't know the way!)
Please choose 1 of these slots to attend. You only need to attend 1 slot and please be prepared to stay the full three hours. You will NOT need to prepare anything, we will teach you everything you need on the day.
Slots: 11am-2pm, 3pm-6pm, 7-10pm
