If you would like to contact us please e-mail us at sf@student.ucc.ie , and please leave a message in our guestbook. Sinn Féin in UCC is a young motivated Cumann with the majority of our members in first year. There are several misrepresentaions of our party in UCC, however let this be the place you make up your mind.

If you are interested please attend one of our meetings. They're open to all.

:: Green Route

The proposed new Green Route through Ballincollig will destroy the village as we know it. The proposals are to put traffic lights at every junction between the White Horse public house and the Poulavone roundabout and prohibit parking in the village. This may seem like a good idea but the aim is to encourage use of a new road (under construction) diverting traffic to the multi-storey carpark behind the new Dunnes Stores, via Inishmore. This however will result in one entire side of the village being virtually inaccessible due to the amount of traffic lights and lack of parking facilities. The small businesses on this side of the village who have served this community so well for so long will suffer and the new larger retail units owned by multinational corporations incorporated into the Dunnes Stores shopping centre will flourish.

:: Why Join UCC Sinn Féin

Is é Sinn Féin an t-aon pháirtí uile-Eireann, agus tar sé mar aidhm Poblachtach Daonlathach 32- contae, agus deireadh a chuir riail le Shasana in Eireann.

    Martin Hurson Cumann Sinn Féin UCC was established in October 2003, after an absence for two years of any Republican political party in University College Cork. UCCSF is widely recognised as having a membership who are the most dedicated and hard-working political activists in UCC,and we believe that it this commitment to our cause, coupled with our radical and youthful policies that makes Sinn Fèin the fastest growing political party on the island.

     Our Cumann is named after Martin Hurson, who, at the age of twenty-five, gave his life on hunger-strike in 1981, to win political status for his comrades, and resist the criminalisation of the Republican struggle. Men and women like Martin Hurson who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their cause inspire us today to continue their struggle for Justice, Equality and Freedom.

If you believe in these values, are concerned about this right-wing governments disregard for the poor and vulnerable members of our society,and believe in a 32 county Democratic Socialist Republic, then make a difference. Help build an Ireland of Equals. Join Sinn Féin
