My most sincere and deepest apology for all the nurses you dealt with who were so inadequate. We are not all like that; I am an RN and have worked in many hospitals and I advocate for patients and families always. Often that does not sit well with administration. Your Newf is amazing; the only thing better than 1 Newfie, is 2 Newfies! My sincere and best wishes to you and your family. Your story resonates very deeply with me, and I will never forget your son and family.

Hi, your story touch me in several ways. Affect me in my different roles. As a parent, nurse, patient and a child growing up in hospitals. What a mess! And when it's a fact, there's a life one must live... That you seem to be doing great. /Henrik alias "BE-defekt"

Thank you for your ileostomy advice. Our son is getting ready for surgery and I've been trying to find information from other parents about what they wished they had known. So glad I found your page.

I'm so glad that you came into Janie and Jack and told us your story. My heart goes out to you, but after reading his story, Tyler looks like he's making the most of each day. I hope you do come back, even just to hang out :) I'm going to keep Tyler and your family in my prayers.

I am a nurse in Boston and happened to google 3rd spacing and came across your blog. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please add a facebook share tab so people can share your story. Lots of love to you and your family.

Thank you, Kelly! We spent some time at Boston Children's, do you work there? Thank you for your kindness, we appreciate it! I will try to figure out how to add a facebook share tab, great idea!
